We've recently learnt that the IoW is being released on the 15th October, along with a 10% discount for those that preorder on PC. Now, why is it so hard for DTG to say what the arrangements are for console? I understand that preorders on console are more difficult, and this is why the discount for TSW 2 happened after release, but why can't DTG just explain this at the same time as telling the PC users? I imagine the same process will happen with the IoW as it did with TSW 2, but once again we've been left in the dark. Please just communicate with your community?
We will make extra effort going forward to communicate more effectively with everyone regardless of which platform they are using.
Well if you had asked the actual creator of the this dlc, rivet games, which others have done so on their forum, you would know that there won't be a discount at release. But booo bad dtg and all that.
There hasn't been an announcement on this forum that I've seen. Rivet have done things and DTG have on other forums but not here. It's odd
DTG are the publisher, and ultimately are responsible for dealing with the online stores, not rivet. DTG have also released their own articles, not including details for console, so this is a more than fair comment.
I presume you're referring to https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/tsw2-going-for-a-ryde Right down the bottom it says the release date for the consoles and a discount on steam. The absence of a statement on the other two is a statement in itself.
Although without stating it, you can understand why some people keep asking if pre-orders are coming etc. It wasn't helped by TSW 2 where they kept the console discount very quiet until literally the last minute. Consistency helps a lot...
No... I work on the basis of "if it's not said it's not happening" which is why I haven't been disappointed I haven't got a raise at work in the last three years
