I wouldn't mind something to bridge the time until München Augsburg releases ;)

I'm assuming RRO and CNOS will be releasing in the same pack as they are listed on the roadmap together. It makes sense the phase 4 pack will be releasing shortly before HMA as it uses assets from RRO

Fingers crossed I am hoping for a surprise release today so that I can play them before the HMA release to sweeten the wait ;)

Looking forward to the new Preserved Collection stuff. I do hope the sounds aren't as bas as the previous batch though. :)

Yes let's hope. Tees valley was very well in that regard, and the 422 on HRR was well, only missing the rail noise so that gives me hope. If it is connected to route though and not to the trains, it will be a surprise anyway.

Great thing is, I bought WSR around the release of Tsw2 on sale and have not played it in TSW2020 yet, so this will be a whole new experience which I am looking forward to.

WSR was pretty nice, the scenery and low speeds make for a much more relaxed drive compared to the other routes. Looking forward to cruise on that route again :)

It will be good to see what the Class 52 and Class 33 can actually do when not stuck on a line with a 25 MPH speed limit.

Is the whole route capped at 25 mph? I read about it but still wonder. Though I don't mind a more relaxing experience once in a while, I can totally see why you would want to test their limits via off the rails!

I believe that in the UK all heritage routes are capped at 25mph no matter what the traction is

Yep, speed limits on the WSR range anywhere between 5mph and 25mph. Although the steep gradients and frequent change of speed limits will keep you busy. It may be slow, but it's not boring.

I can't remember if the 33 and 52 can be used on ECW railtour service. Would be nice to be able to use those locos on timetable services, without having to create our own scenarios.

I think the 33 from NTP can be used, though I also heard they deactivated it for the time being as it conflicts with people not having the dlc but the options in scenario planner. I might be wrong though, it was quite a while ago they mentioned that on a stream.

The 33 was from WSR. Not sure with which loco you're confusing it with, because the 31 was from TVL, and even that one can't be used on NTP :P

NTP had its heavy freight pack, with the 08 and 40

Yeah sorry confused it with the 47.
I found on the TSW wiki that if you own NTP it unlocks rail tour services on east coast way with the classes 31, 37, 40, 45, 47 and 66 if you own the corresponding DLCs.

They had an issue with the layers on NTP as for some reason they couldn't add any more to it. It would have been good to have the class 31 available for use on it as it would fit in there.

My only complaint about WSR (apart from the lack of steam engines on a heritage line) is that the service mode timetable isn't really very intensive, especially for a gala.

It would be great if one day we can make our own service mode and use the actual loco's on the line, not getting a random Western without a nameplate and a long since dead class 33!

Not "services", but "service". As far as I've seen, there's only one single Railtour service on ECW timetable, and it's only on a small portion of the line. :P

Yes the speed limit question is correct all UK Heritage routes have a speed restriction of 25mph so tis real life Im afraid.

Speed limits are there to be broken, just wait until the Class 43 is unleashed on WSR.

I think it was due to the fact that it currently crashes on some Xboxs and PS4s. Adding any more stock would cause this to happen even more often.

Now that they're working on a system to handle layers for consoles, this could open the door to more layers / dlc for NTP. There's a large variety of stock that would be suited to the route...

I purchased WSR this week (as I also decided to purchase TSW 2020 for my PC), and it's a nice line. But I agree that the timetable is somewhat underwhelming. Hopefully as the dispatcher improves, TSW timetables will become a little more ambitious. Timetables can make or break a DLC (just look at LIRR, or the class 20 - lovely loco but very little new gameplay). HMA certainly seems to have a decent timetable from what I've seen so far.

Okay thanks for that, I couldn't remember the exact reason. Hopefully they can add more layers but will they do any more work on the preserved routes, I know we are getting a class 313 for ECW but that is a little more up to date I suppose and was part of the Deluxe edition?

The WSR is a nicely made route, but really needs the sound of a Manor barking up the gradients!

The developments with the new route certainly look promising.

We're also getting the 363 for Ruhr Sieg Nord which is an older route, so it's not just the newish ECW that gets something. Hopefully this means we continue to get stock for the older routes. A pacer would be great for TVL...

I had forgot about that one, good point. Yes I agree a Pacer for TVL, especially the class 143 would be great. I love the class 101 but they weren't the dominant unit on the line in 1989 when it is set, in fact Heaton didn't have many left by then and hardly any, if any 3 car sets.

Yes. A Pacer is muchly needed. Not the best train that was ever built, but she’s worked hard and deserves a place in the game.

If I recall correctly not long after the TVL release someone suggested on a stream that a Pacer would be good for the TVL, I think Matt seemed quite keen on the idea. Obviously that was long before TSW2 and the preserved collection became a thing. But as we have two add-ons on the way for preserved routes, when the impression was given there would be no more then there might be some hope.
