That's looking very good! That cabin, OMG it looks detailed... And that running gear :o
Also, I saw a new freight car for the industries so that's a nice addition too!

Looking very much forward to this one :)

Looks very nice indeed. It is attached to RSN but does it work with other routes in service mode?

I wonder, will we get a new siding as well, like with the 204? I know that one was done by Rivet, but who knows. Is the part from the picture on the route already?

German players are currently being spoiled. Nice shunter veteran, but it's the currently modernized version and a good addition for RSN. Also new cement wagons...

I’m so thrilled for this loco, especially the quick couple because I was so hoping they would add that.

Now that does look very nice. If only this much effort went into fixing the issues in content we already have.

Nice, I hope we can get access to a fair number of yards along the route. I love this loco.

This looks amazing, hopefully, it will come with more to do than 204 did.
    Also:
DTG: "With a relatively conservative top speed of 60 km/h (37 mph), the meticulously detailed pistons and driving gears look incredible at top speed or while slow running."

Me: "Not with a motion blur ON"

I'm in. The last piece of the German puzzle. Further on, the Roadmap turns to the other direction.

The ultimate puzzle piece would be a BR 218 or BR 232 but the BR 363 is an awesome addition, i love it very much. ;)

It would be really good if DTG could do some scenario packs.
The Br 204 could be added to Rapid Transit to shunt some of the sidings there
the BR 363 could be added to MSB along with the wood carrying wagons, so we can do some extra shunting there.
the German routes also need a gondola type wagon such as the Eanos, this is such a common wagon and it is a shame it is not included anywhere...

Will we get to drive to the Power plant or within the power plant sidings on RSN. This is a cool area but not even used apart from a couple of collectables.

Seems awesome, I'll wait to see where can I use it though, if it's RSN exclusive then I'll have to wait for a sale. Hopefully it will be used in other german routes as well

If they were to fix motion blur, that would definitely make its way to the roadmap.

Can we turn it off in the menu? I do not know. On PC, we can. Out of curiosity: what's wrong with motion blur?

The motion blur is an unreal issue. Unreal does not support motion blur for turning wheels and we definitely want the wheels to turn for the BR363.

Unreal does not support motion blur for turning wheels. In most racing games the turning of wheels is not simulated. In TSW it is, so DTG is the only party suffering from this issue.

No we can't, thankfully all the keyboard shortcuts work on console, anyway with motion blur the area all around the wheels and running gear is usually awful

Can the BR363 also use the timetable services of the BR204, even when not owning the BR204?

Yeah, I guess that's just a limitation on how the substitution system works... A shame really, because this limits the amount of content each loco add-on has, and personally makes it considerably less interesting to buy the loco add-ons. (Being limited to only one route is why I haven't bought the BR204 yet, and it seems I'll be making the same decision for the BR363, although it does really look like a cool locomotive to drive).

You can't do it with a controller you need a keyboard

No, because those services don’t exist without having the BR204, they are part of that DLC.

It’s strange how the motion blur artefacts don’t occur on the rotating fans on top of the locos. It will be possible to sort the problem with the wheel animation with motion blur on, but it would require the wheel animation changing to a different system at the speed above the point where the problem occurs. That’s probably too resource intensive due to the number of wheels on a train, which is why it hasn’t happened yet. That and dev time devoted to the problem of course.

Can you imagine how dissapointed I was as I learned after buying the 204 for TSW1 that you can only use it on a bugged (4 km/h speed limit instead of 40) area with like 6 or so services? Okay, it is there for shunting services and so on, I had my fun (10+ hours) but "back in the days" there was no scenario planner to get this loco on the mainline at least for a couple of kilometers ;-)

Anyway, I will dive deeper into those two shunters when the audio is fixed because they really sound powerful and nice :)

Edit: Forgot to mention an absolute must have for the 204 (I recently asked, if it is still compatible to TSW2, yes it is but you have to switch to outside view to fully enjoy it since in-cab sound is bugged at the moment for preserved collection): https://rail-sim.de/forum/filebase/entry/5258-tsw-db-br-204-replacement-sound/

I feel the exact same, it seems like the wonderful 204 model's potential has been wasted with the arrival of TSW 2. The pre-existing content is quite poor as well. Hopefully, Rivet will return to the DLC and not completely abandon it. That being said I'm still buying the 363. As the 204 is a multi-purpose loco and the 363 is primarily a shunter. The 363 is a west german loco (Deutsche Bundesbahn) and the 204 is an east german loco (Deutsche Reichbahn) in case you didn't know. :) Plus the cabs and controls are quite different. So the 363 is definite buy for me, but I'm still sad and disappointed with the end result of the 204. :(

I found myself looking at the impressive 363 images again and found this BjornGroen02NL:
    Screenshot 2020-10-28 at 16.16.51.png
Seems this 363 used to be stationed there. "Railion Nederland" now DB Cargo Nederland has its headquarters located in Utrecht too!
I feel like I've already connected with this loco because I live in the area as well! :D

That's wishfull thinking, but yes, lets just do that. I'll take any spark of hope I can get.

Is that nice little Dutch detail on all of the 363s, or is it one of several random options?

Hmmmm this is top secret investigating going on here :P Even more interesting is that Railion Nederland at the time only had 7 of these shunters stationed in the Netherlands. They were brought there in 2007, and in 2017 they were all sold to BT Trains B.V.

That means that these 7 locomotives never were in Germany with this Livery, let alone the route between Hagen and Finnentrop...

Still, I like that this is the "first Dutch train" so I hope they keep these little details on it. It is a nice little touch ;)

So I dug a bit deeper into what happened after the 7 BR 363's were sold to BT Trains B.V., and they are all 7 still in service today in the Netherlands. So, for those of you interested, this is what they look like today. Feel old yet? :)

(Not my picture, but it's taken around Amsterdam:)
