Unfortunately, NEC is the only route that cannot be included in the Preserved Collection. I don't know if it affects the trains as well. This means that NEC is only available to those who have (also) acquired it with TSW2020. I don't know how many there are, or how many are missing it or wanting a new edition! Hence this survey here. Personally, I like NEC very much and I could well imagine that DTG would be able to reissue it for the next version of TSW on the PS5 if the demand is right. Similar to how it was done with SPG. In that case I would be willing to pay for it too, so it would be a win-win for us and DTG. What do you all mean? Just leave the NEC behind or are you interested in a (later) new edition?
I'd rather they moved on with new stuff otherwise it's going to be weeks of bug fixes pushing everything else back again. Would be nice to see a new route from DTG this year for TSW2
Personally I never played the route but from reviews I gathered that there are alot of inaccuracies in there. Well, not that I would spot any, never been anywhere near there. The trains looked nice though. But imagine the fire when they remaster the route and people who own NEC see the price tag... plus, you can't really give them that dlc for free, considering how much more work a complete redo of a route is compared to the port from 2020 to 2
NEC had a lot of problems. I think getting a new Amtrak route (still in the northeastern corridor if it were up to me) would be better.
I heard the were stations where you need to wait 15 minutes for passengers, that's a turn off as well
In New York Penn you had to be patient indeed. It wasn't 15 minutes though, I think a stop there took about 5
I’d rather see a new NEC than the one we seen in TSW 2020. Everyone who’s owned the original NEC should get a 25% Discount too.
Nope, they would need to remake every part of the original rolling stock as well. The only way we are getting Amtrak Rolling Stock is if they make a new Amtrak Route.
I can confirm that NEC and all associated content isn't being preserved. Appreciate you highlighting the interest in this particular route. But to clarify for those who are unaware, the reason we are not bringing it over as preserved collection is because of the problems and certain things we tried in TSW2020 that just didn't work out. That doesn't mean to say it will never be added to TSW2 in the future, but if we did it would need a significant amount of time and work spent on it, and as it stands we don't have any plans to do so.
Thank you for your answers and assessments, which I share. Nevertheless, I think it's a shame. One consolation remains to keep it in TSW2020 - albeit with its quirks. But I also think that the North-East Corridor is a classic among train sims, I already know it from MSTS. In any case, another / new Amtrack route would be a real highlight - no matter which one! Then maybe also with the Acela-Express. I am missing a journey route through the USA ...
