The CB&Q was a mostly passenger railroad that lasted from 1884 to 1970. The railroad also hauled freight. Many of the CB&Q's trains were the zephyr series. The section of the route is a large one about 190 miles.

The Zephyrs that ran on this route were articulated trainsets. The Zephyrs ran at 80 to 125 miles per hour depending on trainset style and locomotive. The trains were called the Silver Streaks which inspired a movie later.

    Passenger Services.
Pioneer Zephyr: 5-7 cars operated at max speed of 125 mph 130 on test runs.
Nebraska Zephyr: 7 cars operated at 80-95 mph
Silver Steak Zephyr: 3-5 cars operated at 100-110 mph
Ak-Sar-Ben Zephyr: 6 cars operated at 70-80 mph (not articlated set used E8s)

    Locomotives
E8 was used for almost any service. From passenger to freight they could do it all.

E5 were used only for high speed passenger service.

The main locomotives that hauled the zehpyr were named Silver Charger for example.

Freight locomotives were also used on the line seen below

Even though this is a longer route most likely cannot be made in the current game state. This route can bring a whole new experinece to the sim. High speed running with streamliners or hauling freight across the praire or just relaxing in the passenger cars.

I would pay for this. Those Zephyrs are funky looking but have a certain charm to them and the paint scheme on those E-units is something I am super in to.

I would enjoy this one. Something close to home would be nice for a change.
