Hi guys, I'm a bit stuck, I really want to play the severn railway route that SSS sent me a download link for. I have all payware and all the freeware listed up till spa valley railway has a download option without cues.

The rest are only the UKTS queuing download option, which I assume would quite literally take a day to download one of them. Does anyone know of or have themselves a zip file including all freeware required for the route please, many thanks.

    See attached screenshot file

I don't think that's within the spirit of the community, I may be wrong but that's the way it tends to be with most other gaming communities that I've been involved with.

A quicker way to download the UKTS stuff is by subscribing for a month (£2:50 I believe) then you can do multiple downloads at the same time and at the full speed (which for most items would be seconds rather than hours)

Regarding the spa valley railway you need to be logged into UKTS (with a free to set up account) before you will see a download link, I've just checked and the link does lead to a download.

Then if you haven't parted with £2:50 you just wait for the queue to refresh and then click on "Cick here to Download"

    Hope that helps.

Nice one, thanks a lot, I'm downloading one now and I wasnt in the queue for long. I guess that's because I entered the queue early morning. It is however downloading painfully slowly. I actually want to pay for premium downloads but the link to sign up says server error

Ahh now that I can't help you with, maybe if I tag TrainSim-Matt as he's the owner of ukts, he'll be able to help.

Cheers, I've sorted it now, I've downloaded all the stuff I need. I used the sign up process on the main page, its just the link to signup to premium on the queue page wasnt working for me. Only £2.50 for a month, what a bargain. Incidentally can anyone reccomend content from there?

Go to your railworks folder (normally C:\program files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks) and find the file called utilities.exe
Right click this, then select Send to from the menu, then Desktop (create shortcut) from that menu
This will put a shortcut to utilities on your desktop (as you'll need to use it for all RWP files)

To use it open utilities (which you can now do from the desktop), then at the top select the "Package Manager" tab, click the Install button on the right then browse to the RWP file

Another way of installing them is to have 7-zip or another "unpacker" on your computer as RWP are basic compressed files (similar to ZIP files)
Unpack the RWP to a known location then go to that location. You should see a "Content" or "Assets" folder there. Copy these into your railworks folder...

As usual I'm a bit late to the party(!!!) but having read this thread I wholeheartedly agree with the others that parting with the paltry sum of £2.50 for unlimited downloads for a month is a good deal... I did it when I wanted stuff for Backdated NWC and the Backdated South Lancs freeware add-ons...

I started downloading using my free account but a tiny file was taking hours... Then finally the straw that broke the camels back was when I couldn't download a particular file as I was 10th in the queue I said sod to it and just signed up to a months subscription then "bam", instant download!!!

Now, if I can digress, I wish ATS (NOT the tyre house!!!) would start a similar scheme rather than being "all or nothing" and at £30 for a year it's (to me) quite a substantial sum of money to part with especially if I only use it 2 or 3 times a year... I know it equates to £2.50 a month which is the same as UKTS but its the fact that you are being "bullied" into an all or nothing situation seems unfair to me...

I desperately want his Catenery pack for the "Missing Link" route but am torn between paying £9.99 as a non-subscriber or pay £30 for the year, get it for £4.99 and have the benefit of unlimited downloads...

    Just my thoughts..

    Eric

Sorry to be a pain i could do with a bit more help if you good folks dont mind.
First problem was i drove from bridgnorth to hampton loade and arrived at a red signal just before the station, there was a western waiting in the platform but the signal or points never changed, i couldnt find anyway of changing them either through the 2d map or pressing G i requested a spad which it let me do but ended up nose to nose with the western.
Second problem was i tried to drive from kidderminster on 4 occasions and it loads but as soon as i press anything it just freezes up then it goes back to the desktop saying rail exe stopped responding

Finally when using the utilities and package manager there is a column on the left with installed packages and when i click install to browse for other files to install i.e spa valley railway or east somerset railway it says they are already installed but they are not showing on the left hand column.
    Sorry for the long post

Somebody else was asking on UKTS about he route and signalling and the view was the Signalling is Flawed.
It might be why the route was removed off the main SSS page.

I suspect this is no longer available. What part of the Severn Valley are you interested in? I used to live near Lydney (Forest of Dean). There is a route available which will take you there. Check my UK map: https://sites.google.com/view/trainsimulatorcontent/uk-routes
If you click on the line it should prompt info on the route you are looking for. You can always populate a steam train on one of these.
