Hello, here are some ideas for the livery editor 1.Add the possibility of using the basic livery of the train or wagon. 2.Add the logos of the railway companies of the trains available in TSW (DB, GWR, CSX, ...) to use them on your creations. 3.Add the possibility of painting certain parts of the train or wagon (passenger and cabin doors, cabin, right and left side, etc.) 4.Add the possibility of writing text and then placing it instead of placing the letters one by one. 5.Add an option to allow liveries to circulate in time mode via the services available in game or not. 6.Add the position of a shape with X, Y, Z. 7.And finally a menu to download or share your creations.
Good ideas, except numbers 1, 2 and 7 cannot be done at the moment due to licensing restrictions. But they have started looking into a way to possibly share liveries in the future, though it’s not on the roadmap right now.
Number 4 and 5 would be really really nice to see! Number 5 would be nice with a level selector so you can say how rare/common the livery should be
They cannot add the Company Logos as it would cause copyright issues. But I like the idea of having a text box.
It would be good if you could paint each train on a panel by panel basis. For example on the 483, I wanted a plain white livery with a dark grey roof. Being able to paint the roof grey and the body white without having to use shapes etc would make things easier.
This is due to the possibility of them being used in a way not approved by the logo owners. Companies are very specific about how they want their trademarks used.
