Menu Music...where Is It?

Is it just me? After the last update, and without me touching anything, the menu music seems to have disappeared.

That sounds like an awesome feature. Saves me the time manually switching off any in game music :P

I'm at a loss as to explain where it's gone. I haven't turned anything off (I think, can you even do that?) but it's definitely disappeared.

Most sensible games have an option to turn off any music. Thankfully :P
Might want to check your audio settings just to be sure it's not turned off.

Try as I might I can’t find a setting anywhere, unless I’m not seeing the wood for the trees. I’m pretty sure it disappeared after the last update.

It was definitely there previously. You don’t have it either then? Interesting!

It doesn't have any, it was defaulted to 0, but have (at some point) removed the slider entirely. From Matt in his Discord:
"the idea was that the diorama backgrounds would hae[sic] nature sounds oin[sic] them, and they kinda do but it isn't great."

That’s a shame, it was pretty atmospheric and I used to quite like it :o

I'm probs gonna be odd but I kinda liked the menu music (tho I kinda did get a mod which changed it to the TS2014/15 music). I think the music in TSW2020 is subjective and should be kept for those players that want it in TSW2.

Ive never had music in the main menu of TSW2...I noticed that when it released

There is brief music in the "press any key" screen prior to the main menu though...is this what OP is referring to?

It wasn’t. I must be going nuts :D I could have sworn it was there but it mustn't have been.

    Oh well.

When I first launched TSW2 after buying it, I could also swear I could hear it but couldn't after I closed the game.

Music can be great in the right places. Endlessly repeating on a menu screen is not one of those places.
