Is This Possible(use Non Cal Trans Loco As Power?)

I have tried replacing cal trans normal F40 and BB36 with other locos that have a passenger option but the control car acts like it has no power at the other end,how do you set up non cal trans locos to operate the control car or are other locos not able to be used outside of driving them from there own cabs?

 

There is just not enough information to help you out here.
So you are trying off the rails mode I guess, driving an other train than the Caltrain ones from San José to San Francisco, right?
Which loco/train/consist are you having problems with setting up for that?

 

Like trying to replace a normal caltran engine with the caltran switcher or the up gp 38,to power the caltran control car.

 

I’ve seen a picture where someone did that. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do it too

 

Its possible with the standard coaches, however I think the rear cab car is incompatible with other locos, so it must be disconnected in order to move the train.

I figured it out go to Cumberland yard put a Caltrain there. Spawn whatever train you want drive to end of the yard switch the tracks and get to the train and couple
