My steps: 1. Design my own scenario 2. I'm going to Explore -> Timetable 3. I choose weather pattern and any type of train 4. I'm going to Tools -> Scenario Designer 5. Start my scenario with previoulsly set weather. No matter what snow scenario/service I choose, the snow disappears as soon as I move the train or shortly after. Furthermore, snow always turns to rain. Does anyone know how to solve?
There is nothing you can do about it (I think) I believe the in game temperature might be too hot for snow. But I would think that is because the default weather in the scenario planner(Spring maybe Summer) might have caused that to happen. So Winter settings+Deafult setting in Scenario planner,Summer (Spring?)=Rain or & melted snow
When you set the weather, it shows a little temperature in the upper corner. If you just set snow, but the pre setting was spring (i.e. temperature is 10 degrees (Celsius) or something), the snow will melt as it would do in real life. So check if you chose winter and then snow if that solves the issue.
The temperatureis -10 but it really seems that the scenario pattern is always spring/summer. Do you know if there is a way to change the season through some code, in the scenario itself?
Depends on the route configured temperatures. In Peninsula Corridor is impossible to have snow at all, as they default to 10ºC in winter in game, so snow melts no matter what setting you use. But in real life, even if being rare, it appears to snow sometimes there. At least you can find pics in internet about snow in California. Cheers
But I am trying in Germany. In some scenarios, in this same location, it snows normally but only when programmed by the game to happen.
For now I'm using the Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker to change the temperature and add snow to the scenario. But it is sad to have to use these tools. Again: it is something that could be easily implemented/solved by the developers.
That's the dumbest God damn thing they did. Just wasted two God damn hours just to derail my train in the snow. It's a terrible game design.
Much easier with https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c75-utilities/i2703-tsw-god-mode-alpha-022
