You can vote for next week's theme in the poll attached to this thread. What is your choice?

Follow us on Instagram (instagram.com/trainsim) to see your screenshots featured on our feed!

    How does it work?

You can submit your screenshot to the thread, and every Friday we will choose which screenshots will go to the loading screens. Shortly after, we will open a new thread and announce the winners. Each week has its own theme which is voted for by the community.

    • Screenshots must fit the theme of the week, as stated at the beginning of this post.
    Other Rules:

    • Official content only. Please make sure anything that is not available on the Steam Store or Dovetail Store is not shown in the screenshot. - This means no reshade, repaint mods, track upgrades or workshop routes.
    • Your entry may be disqualified if it is deemed to not follow these rules. Please limit chat to only when absolutely necessary.
    • Competition closes at mid-day Friday (UK time). The winner will be chosen every Friday.
    • Winner's Prize: The winning screenshot will appear in the game as a loading screen for 4 weeks!

Here we see 4 of Norfolk Southern's heritage units meet as they round the bend. 3 out of the 4 represent railroads that have operated the line around The Curve.

It's 1944, and WWII is in full swing. The New Haven Railroad is in the midst of a power shortage as a result of the massive increase of traffic. To help solve the problem (temporarily atleast), the NH has called a handful of the US Army's S160 class of 2-8-0's. Here, we see them triple heading a merchandise freight heading from Cedar Yard in New Haven to Springfield. It may not be the most cost-effective solution, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
    Route Used: VNHRR Springfield Line
    Locomotive Used: USATC S160

The Pennsy had a motive power issue of their own during WWII. Much of their locomotive roster was not up to the long and heavy freight trains and wartime restrictions prevented them from building a new locomotive. So, the Pennsy decided to base their new class of locomotive of an existing design. They decided to lease a C&O T1, and a UP Challenger (IRL it was an N&W Y6b but shhhhh) and test their capabilities on heavy freight trains. Here we see Challenger #3975 hauling a freight train up Horseshoe Curve. In the end, the Pennsy went with the C&O T1 as their basis and thus, the PRR J1 would be born.
    Route Used: Horseshoe Curve
    Locomotive Used: Union Pacific Challenger

It's nothing to do with the competition, but as an ex-British Steel man I can't help but correct the erroneous text you've copied from the DTG product page. The torpedoes (also 300T in the UK) carry liquid iron (not steel) at about 1,800 deg C (not 14,000 deg C!) from the blast furnaces to the BOS (Basic Oxygen Steelmaking) plants on the private railways in steel works. I've never heard of them being allowed out on the main line as that would be very dangerous and probably collapse bridges as well. There was a trial of much smaller liquid iron carrying wagons (80T) on the main line in the late 60s, but I don't think it went into full operation.

As for my erroneus " COPIED FROM DTG PRODUCT PAGE" that's where I purchased the Torpedoes.
If you have a problem take it up with DTG, not me.
Also Have you not read the the theme for this week:- YOU DON'T SEE THAT EVERY DAY
It is a mythical screenshot, it would never happen in real life.
Also this scenario is Germany not UK ......
PS: they also don't carry covid-19 vaccines at - 70 Deg C in real life

There is a set of tombstones on Koblenz-Trier that would be best in a montage, otherwise it take 3-5 shots to present them. (The train is the 442.)
The lines on this photo: Like overran by a train. He came, saw nothing, and fell on the rails. (Aerosoft is the developer.)
Some other lines: Hier könnte Ihr Werbung Stehen (your ad could be here). Das leben raste an ihn vorbei, wie ein vorbeifahrender Zug (Life sped by him like a passing train). I didn't live longer with Calgon.

"Really sir? You've no idea why I pulled you over? What if I give you a moment to think about it?"

Invincible from the Isle of Wight line is on the milk float track that runs around the streets of Guilford in the (newer) Portsmouth Direct route. She's the shortest wheelbase loco' I have and can make it all the way round the circuit even hauling a wagon or two although a couple of the gradients test her.

[IMG] Almost completely absent from TS2021 are children or their world. The Im Köblitzer Bergland route is one place they feature.
Behind is a DB BR 232 with Zags wagons.

No it's not photoshopped! A BR 52 on the Im Köblitzer Bergland route making use of some of its 2D assets to create a little cameo. Wedding couples occasionally pose on railway stations, but it's certainly not something you see every day.
