Today we have pushed out a hotfix for all platforms to address some issues regarding rods from the Lake Beast's Equipment Pack. When the pack came out players were experiencing issues with rods bending in the wrong direction. This patch should now fix this and rods in-game should be following the laws of physics. The patch may take anything up to 24 hours to roll out across all regions so if you don't get the patch straight away don't worry.
Updates will vary in size depending on the platform and the work that has had to be done for the patch. In this case, we had to do a lot of work with the rods and animations which can be big files. This is why the update is the size it is.
Typically when dovetails patches/updates are released on Xbox they're incorporated as a full download of the game. This is common in a lot of games. I'm not sure of the reasoning why it's a full file as opposed to a smaller patch file? But, it does seem to be the norm for Xbox patches these days.

Hi cracking_tiger, the team is investigating this. Is this happening to you in the DFL or the fishing trip mode?
Xbox one also. Game crashed and sent me back to the xbox dashboard when attempting a fishing trip at Jezioro Bestii.
Yep, same for me. Won't load the Bestii wallpaper in the main menu nor the actual venue on a casual fishing trip. Just blue screens with an error code once you have selected past the time of day/weather menu etc before peg selection... PS4 !
Thank you for all the info everyone! This has really helped the team work on this today. We are pushing a patch to Xbox players now to solve this issue. PlayStation players will receive the same update tomorrow. We will notify you all when the PlayStation patch also goes live.
