Oh wow that's a nice addition! I wonder why they have teased it before it appeared onto the Roadmap though. Will need to check the Roadmap in 1.5 weeks to see if this will be added
Here is the image again, but hosted somewhere else. (For those who have external images from facebook blocked against tracking such as myself)
I‘ve only known them for a week or so from another post on here. Appereantly they have contributed to a number of German locos for TSW. As for „another“: In a German forum one of their employees said that they are working on four loco DLCs for TSW 2: Br 420, Shunter/Switcher (probably this one), a German mainline diesel loco and a German EMU or DMU. Here‘s the post: Edit: spelling
If there are people developing for TSW then pretty optimistic that there are more 3rd party developers than we thought, also isn't this how Rivet started with TSW?
Possibly, but in the end they need DTG's approval for it to appear as an official DLC on the steam store.
But how do these companies have the Editor software, when they didn't let DTG know they're working on something? Surely DTG knows that they develop a new DLC, otherwise they wouldn't give the full editor to those specific developers.
These are all bound to be awesome DLC. My only concern is whether the route layers for them will work well on PS4. That’s the burning question for all new content at the moment. Maybe by the time they are all released everything will be working smoothly. I particularly like the prospect of driving the 420.
I think this is fantastic news. That's now three different 3rd-party devs for TSW content. Hopefully this will improve quality of content across the board.
According to the thread I linked the reason they‘re not on the roadmap is that DTG‘s third party team (for lack of a better term) has not been working for ages (not my words; just translating what was said in that thread). I personally agree with what has been said about DTG knowing about it. I don‘t see how they couldn‘t. Yes.
The same Facebook account have now posted this: Source: https://www.facebook.com/trainsimgermany/posts/2698097007070254
The Difference between them is simpel the Köln version has only at the fron Orange LED Matrix and the munich Has White LED At the front and Left and Right side of The Unit
We only add new items to the roadmap when we're made aware of them by the developer. I'll have a word with our 3rd party team and make sure they're in the loop.
It's still heavily WIP according to the developer, maybe the LED boards are just not created yet as they'd be behind the window.
the mainline diesel is the one i posted its slow but its an mainline loco since maik has said it too >>> The G6 is not only a shunter but also a main line loco. She's slow, yes, with 80km/h but she does alot of main line services around Germany. A 363 is a pure shunter. They were used for short main line movements too back in the Bundesbahn area, but today its just an old littel slow shunter.
That would be cool. I just hope it‘s not a Br 245 or something like that. I‘d like to have more older German locos.
Will these 3rd party DLC:s be repaintable as well? It would be nice to convert BR 420 to X420. OK, the windows will remain wrong, but anyway...
Hey everyone, having done a poke around on the TSG website I saw this picture which shows the BR420 with one set of open doors in a retro 70's livery. Whether this is coming to TSW 2 along with the modern DB one is unclear.
Wow, what a pleasant surprise!! Thanks for sharing! Wonder if TSG will do this retro livery as well? The livery design is identical, only the accent color is blue. In white lettering, the Baureihe is 421-001, not 420. Maybe a Sonderzug or museum train. Am I seeing it correctly?
Sorry guys, but that will not come. This was a step too far from the 3d artist to show this. The main reasons they will not appear in TSW2 yet are, that they woudnt fit into the current available routes and they are technically way different to the modernized one that we want to build. This would be a new train in terms of a DLC and that would not work yet. You can repaint it with the livery designer but it will not be the correct shape and doors then.
I really don't want to buy a locomotive on the road map that is already on sale. I just want to view the new sales roadmap. In addition to the island DLC, I purchased all the route DLC sold so far. Can DTG involve more third-party studios? I want a new route, not a locomotive. I hope DTG can provide two new sales routes every month after Christmas.
How is that even remotely reasonable and besides that has anything to do with the train in question of this thread.
TSG and Influenco, currently working on the DB BR 420, have released this pic in the german rail sim forum I'm very exicited. Instant buy. I'd even pay more for their quality of rolling stock than for the normal loco add ons.
