Yup. Not a chance of getting it now I'm afraid. :(

Humble was the last place selling it, now it's nowhere.

This route looks good (see below), and it's a shame it's currently not available - if the above was done, then "North Wales Coastal Route Version 2" could very easily be released.

The bonus routes are from the 2016 edition, so technically the Kinguin one would be a combo 2016/2018 pack. I do not know if the locos from 2016 are included unless they are already part of a route package. Sherman Hill for instance still includes the SD60, Gas Turbine, and other DLC not separately available.

Took the risk and unfortunately can confirm the Kinguin one just gives you the 2016 routes and nothing from 2018. I assume the seller had mistakenly sold it on as 2018 as their base 2016 game had updated to 2018 at some point. Oh well, worth a punt at that price. Wish DTG would rerelease North Wales Coast without branding as they have for South Wales.

Sadly, this makes sense. They see it as 2018 with bonus routes because the core is updated, but in that sense it's also the 2021 version with 2016 routes.

Luckily not entirely wasted as its made a great start for my dad’s first forays into TS. Still, would be nice to get a working copy of NWC from somewhere.

Does your Dad have some connection to the route?

No, the NWC is for my son to add to his ever growing collection of DLC, we’re just starting my dad on TS. We’ve got a lot of free reskins and routes but some we’d like need NWC. Not essential but nice to have

I can only hope that the route eventually returns. Even if it does, I hope there's some way I can get the original version of the extension since I already own the trains needed for it (it's really the fact that the scenarios driven on the original extension use them, without having to edit them personally for a "combined" version), but obviously that's not something I can count on. At least I can still edit them when the time comes.

I need this for a couple of add-ons. Will they release an unbranded version? I really wanted this but couldn't get it.

I managed to buy it earlier this week!

It’s on sale at Humble on its own, but for a few pounds more, I got two other routes by buying the TS2018 package:

Just to say, when I bought TS2018 from Humble, I just linked the key to my steam account, and it automatically added the three 2018 routes. I didn’t need to uninstall/reinstall anything: it just ignored the 2018 core and installed the three routes.

As I've noted before, if you find the package on SteamDB, it shows (as of this post) that TS2021 core comes with TS2018. This is the same for other packages, as well. Even the original Railworks will show the 2021 core because the new core automatically updates into stub 24010, which is the core game.
