In Koln - Aachen, the section between Duren and Koln-Ehrenfeld has a limit of 250km/h. This causes AI BR442s to accelerate as much as they can, topping out at 180km/h. This causes 2 problems: The train's sound fades away when the train reaches this speed, and the timetable is impossible to follow legally, as it is adapted for trains to travel over their maximum permitted speed. Edit: The timetable is actually fine, it's just the immersion break that causes a significant problem.
That is actually an odd thing, but I was also surprised to see on the HUD the speed limit for the BR442 this is weird, and even worse if that really means the AI trains go at that speed :/ For the timetable, i don't think this speed influences the timetable. It seems to be taken from the actual real world timetable, and that is definitively set up for 160 top speed.
IIRC this also affect freights that regularly go over their "correct" speed limit and just follow the max track speed
Yeah, I also wish the AI trains would drive with PZB enabled, but it might take up too much data and memory, impacting the performance.
The problem is that the br442 max speed permitted is 160kmh not 180. I have complete all services on SKA and runnig in time is possible, the only service were you will be always in delay on this route are the ice to koln because in the last part you need to wait for a regio in front of you so you will take 1/2 minutes of delay
Fair enough, I will edit the heading, as any delay I may experience is probably caused by PZB being rarely accounted for in timetables (for example having to slow down to 80km/h very early for Duren station), or even just my incompetence (although I doubt this because my runs are usually perfect )
The schedule does consider PZB! The only time this does not work is when your train ends at a station where it would not in real life, here the approach of a red is not considered (e.g. Gemünden or Augsburg). The schedule is based on the real world schedule and not on what the trains could possibly achieve while speeding.
