Description The 'Riedbahn' from Frankfurt to Mannheim is the perfect route for TSW 2. The route is 48 miles (77km) long, meaning that it would be the longest German high speed experience in the game. There are also many stations on the route so people who enjoy stopping services would have something to do as well. Map I have designed a TSW 2 style map of the route that you can see below Trains DB BR 407 These trains run ICE services on the route and would also fit into the setting of the routes Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen and Hauptstrecke München-Augsburg DB BR 446 The DB BR 446 Twindexx Vario EMUs run stopping services along the route. They have screw link couplers between the carriages, so this could offer some unique shunting gameplay. Services Many German trains that are already in TSW 2 also run on this route. For example the DB BR 406 ICE 3M that comes with the base game also runs along this line, along with many freight trains. There are power stations on the line which could offer coal trains with the Falns coal hopper from the Ruhr Sieg Nord BR 155 DLC. DLC There would be great opportunities for loco DLC, such as the DB BR 430 EMUs that run from Frankfurt Hbf to various stations along the route
I would definitely buy this if Dovetail released this. I loved driving the Reidbahn in TS classic. Would also love to see Karlsruhe and Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof in TSW again. Also agree the potential for loco dlc is endless. Plus layer opportunities will be awesome as well. Imagine driving the 406, 407, or TGV Duplex. This would be an amazing route worth the full price in my opinion.
Ugh, please can we not do more German routes until the game is a little more mature? It's so boring having everything based in Germany. There are other countries! I'm not saying don't do this route, but I think it should wait until later.
So many people say that there is too much German stuff, but there is basically the exact same amount of UK stuff. Although I can see why German stuff is popular! I am from/live in England and I find the German routes really fun and the trains great to drive!
Please, don't write something negative on EVERY german content proposal, because (just as Isaac47593 said) there is basically the same amount of german and british content. Here's an example: even though I find american locos very similar, and I find every proposal really strange because to me they all look the same, other people may not be thinking the same way as me. They really understand the differences between those locos that seem all the same to me, so please avoid writing something negative each time. Cheers
If possible i would like to see the DB BR 412 aka ICE 4 and The Vectron and maybe the IC trains if they run along this route
I think I've expressed my opinion about German routes maybe twice ever? Is it against the forum rules to say you don't like or want something? If so, I'll keep quiet, otherwise, I thought it was a free internet with free speech? I've just done a count of the route DLCs and currently we have 6x German, 6x UK, 2x US, 1x Canadian and 1x French. I didn't realise there were the same number of UK routes as German, but my viewpoint doesn't change because my point was it would be nice to see more from other countries before getting more German (or British) routes. Sorry to hijack the thread, it wasn't my intention, I just wanted to express the opinion somewhere that it would be good to give some other countries some love.
No one has anything against you, but the large amount of people that keep writing "I don't like it" in every thread is making some other forum members crazy, so if you don't like it it's okay, but I would also suggest to write down some good reasons why that suggestion is not good in your opinion. I apologize for the previous post being a bit rude, in the first sentence I was meaning that in every thread there is someone, not that you were in every thread, but you'll surely understand that we've seen so many messages saying negative things 'just because they didn't like it'.
I think this is a very good suggestion that fits in well with the existing game. It could take layers and add layers and substitutions meaning added value both as new content and adding value to existing content.
Yes that route would be pretty cool, also the length makes it realistic to appear in TSW. I especially like the trains you suggested for this route.
Id love this route but I would hope that the route comes with the 430 from the beginning and not as a seperate DLC
They do, but they probably did not before the ramp has been closed, so they wouldn't really fit on the old MSB in the game. You can however see them in Hamburg, so maybe the next german route would be able to make use of them.
I'd love it ! The BR407 also opens the way for some scenario planner action with it on Southeastern High Speed as it goes there as Eurostar. As for the BR446, I'd love driving one. And as said above it does run on other German routes already there or coming soon. As for the DB BR430, I'd prefer it included with the route. If the BR430 gets done then all the Overhead Catenary S-Bahn EMU's will be in the game once TSG releases their 420 ! I'd really like to see this been made in the game.
An ICE 2 would be cool, but I bet a BR 407 would be more popular overall due to it’s potential for scenario designer and livery designer
Ferrovipathe67 hates the 407, I know him from instagram and the title of his page is the French for "Velaro D's are pure LOVE", so his advice is very, very biased. And I don't think the old ICE's run there anyway.
So if DTG would add it to TSW2 than why should they only add the ice 3 and 3m what we alread have, they can still add them to the route, but as new trains they could add the right be 423 and 407 so that we have some new trains, well not 100% new because we already have the br423 at HMA but with the right sound, and then these trains can exchange the BR 422 that are currently running between Düren and Köln
Well the HMA version has the correct sounds for running on Köln Aachen, I've seen them in real life. But not the correct interior, but that's fine.
Perfect idea! We have nearly everything you can possibly need for this Route, we have 425s for the Mannheim Area, the 185, 2 ICE 3s a TGV and with the 446 it would bei perfect.
By the way DB Class 407 does actually operate Frankfurt Manneheim-Saarbrucken-Metz-Paris Est or Frankfurt Manneheim-Strasburg-Paris Est via my suggestion Appenweier-Strasbourg Railway One of the scenarios should be taking over a Paris Est to Frankfurt train with you starting the final section which is Manneheim-Frankfurt
Wow 68 likes in under 3 Months. So lets Go DTG and give us what we want, because this dlc is already in TS
