This and the various others are much needed. Regular readers are probably both aware and bored of my repeated mentions but the branches needed are... West Ealing to Greenford Southall to Brentford Waste Terminal Hayes to Heathrow Airport (pending licence) West Drayton to Colnbrook Oil Terminal Slough to Windsor Central Maidenhead to Bourne End/Marlow Twyford to Henley on Thames With potential for older versions as follows... West Drayton to Staines West West Drayton to Uxbridge Vine Street Slough to Windsor Central (large station) Maidenhead to High Wycombe Twyford to Henley on Thames (large station) Finally the locomotive DLC still required are... Class 59 Class 60 Class 165 Class 180 This would create a lot more parity between GWE and other routes as GWE has never had any DLC
Every other route I can think of has had DLC of one type or another, except GWE. The naturally occurring rolling stock is extremely limited to just 3 classes and the route feels somewhat incomplete without the 6 or so branch lines (both freight and passenger lines). These branches along with another freight locomotive class and the Class 165 and 180 DMUs are a must for the awesome GWE route. Please give us a little more DTG.
Not TSW related but pertinent to this thread I think. If you want to drive the Maidenhead to Wycombe route (including the Marlow branch) and have TS Classic, the excellent freeware Wycombe Joint Railway from Steam Sounds Supreme allows you to do this as it is set in the steam era prior to the line being curtailed at Bourne End. I agree though that these branches would make a great addition to the GWE route in TSW and I for one would buy it.
