I can’t work it out either. Everyone has had a sale apart from Steam Sounds Supreme and I am informed that their sale will not be until the new year. Everyone could be spent up by then.

On Aerosofts website if you type in WINTER25 it will inform you if the product is selected for discount or not.

Next Steam sale proposed to cover Lunar New Year.

Aerosoft don't seem to do much for TS20xx
    This might work https://www.aerosoft.com/en/train-simulation/?p=1&s=1&n=36

    If not the list is
    Koeblitzer Mountain Route 3 reloaded
    Muenster–Bremen
    Freiburg-Basel
    Durchs Moseltal
    Berlin-Leipzig
Berlin-Wittenberg - not worth getting as the section is covered in Berlin - Leipzig

Köln-Düsseldorf - early route and not worth getting

Some titles are shown more than one as German and English versions but are the same
And most, if not all, are available on Steam

They also do a Tram Simulator - also available thru Steam
    https://www.aerosoft.com/en/train-simulation/train-simulators/3189/tramsim

Thanks for the heads-up. I was about to get the 28xx so have saved a little bit on it, not that I wouldn't have paid full price for it. I also have bought the Concertina coaches and the Wycombe wagon pack. Their website is a must for fans of the steam era. I recommend the Stainmore route and the excellent freeware Wycombe route which is easily payware quality and has so many scenario options.

The way I read it is that you have to spend £50 to get 50% off, if that is the case I am keeping my money in my pocket, I am sure last year there was 40/50% off irispective of how much you spent.

You pay 50% of the total value, so if the value is £50 your saving is 50% of 50 which is £25 so you pay £25

Thanks for clearing it up, I have purchased the LNER J21 Loco Pack, the massive Stainmore Route and the 9F Expansion Pack for pennies over £25.

Very good deal by SSS, better than their normal 30% off selective items in the past. Hope other sellers repeat this offer in future.

    Steam Lunar Sale 2021
Expected to be active between: February 11 - February 15.

This weekend is the Festival of Rail on Steam and there might be some discounted items available?

I am not certain but you never know with Steam. https://bit.ly/3itAz7H

There's not really anything left on Steam I want for Train Sim any more. It's AP and JT stuff I need to work on now. I bet Just Trains don't have a "lunar sale" LOL.

Pookeyhead, JTs had a sale last February from the 22nd to the 2nd March, so they may do it again? Trouble with JTs sales, they only select popular items that many have bought. Would like them to do a ??% off all products, similar to Armstrong Powerhouse.

It would be interesting to compare how much the prices for the DLC Changes from one sale to the next

To me most items seem to be about the same price as the last sale

You can compare Steam easily. Charts are at isthereanydeal.com

This is how I make purchasing decisions for products on Steam. Unfortunately, others like JT, Rivet's own site, and AP are not trackable. Fanatical, GreenManGaming, and such are, however.

Here is an example. It shows that Steam had a 40% discount as its best discount on Hudson Line, which was part of the 2020 US Edition. It also shows the best discount to date is a 51% discount. I know, when a 50% discount catches up to the line, that it might be worth acquiring at that point.

The point I was trying to make is the prices on Steam for a DLC don't seem to change very much between one sale and another
Take the DB BR 146.5 & BR 668.2 ‘Intercity 2' Is was £8.39 in November, at Christmas and now.

Fair enough. I was of course just showing how one can check historical prices. Midland for instance right now I'm noticing 75% off and it has not reached its record 80% for quite some time.

The next Steam sale could be next week as there is a Steam Game Festival from 3rd February to 9th. There might be a sale involved with that.

There will definitely be a steam sale for Lunar New Year Feb 11-15th 2021

There is no guarantee that there will be a TS sale. And having a sale every other week kind of lowers the value of your product drastically.

Anything that's say, 3 years old or more should probably be permanently reduced in price by 50% anyway. That's how it would have been in the age of physical releases. Now everything is full price all the time and the only time old stuff is at a more reasonable price is during sales! I think they have lowered the price of some of the much older stuff mind you.

Pretty much everything I got has been heavily discounted. The only exception being the Glasgow Suburban on -15%. The top listings (South Wales, etc) will have to wait!

Exactly, I'm not a rich man by any stretch of the imagination but I'd spend £20 a week on baccy.. I packed in smoking nearly 8 yrs ago, so that's £8320.00 reacquired disposable income, my days of weekends on the P*** in town are long gone too at roughly £100 a month (was never a "every weekend" drinker) and I've not been out on the town at all for the last 15yrs so there's another £18000.

So I think I can justify the (not so) little that I spend on PC's and games.

Edit: and neither of those figures above allowed for inflation..

Honestly I think DTG expects many if not most of their sales to be at a reduced sale price, to the point that Sam has openly said that if you don't agree with the full price of something, then don't buy it and give it a try when it's on sale.

Also, you're right there's no guarantee TS stuff will be on sale during a smaller Steam sale, but I think it's rare to have a Steam sale and not have at least a selection of TS stuff reduced.

I've heard stories of why they would not want the sale constantly happening, though, and the story pertains to a competition between similar products at retail outlets. A company offered the best high-end product and decides, because it doesn't cost them very much to manufacture it, they want to minimize their own profit and give a good deal to customers, trying to undercut the competition with higher-priced products competing in their market. The competitors wind up selling more, mystifying the people at the company with the actual better product. The reason? Customers look at the lower priced product as being cheaply made. As a result, they go for the higher-priced product.

I know now people could argue well hey, they sell each DLC for a ton of money as if it's a new game by itself (it isn't). So this is how they expect more money to come in. I don't know if that's their actual thinking or if the idea actually works here. But I never buy at such high prices anyway, so why do I care? LOL

Next Steam sale begins 6pm GMT on Thursday 11th. I don’t expect prices to be any less than the Xmas sale.

  44. Isn't that obvious ???

Slow Summits is the fifth studio album by the Scottish band The Pastels, released via Domino Recording Company in 2013. The album was their first proper studio album since 1997's

I think it usually says on the load screen: not something can really miss, unless you aren’t using it. But think they email notice too.

It's hard to miss DTG sales as they promote them with a splash screen on game loading. It's quite easy to miss 3rd party sales, such as the Caledonia Works one above, I would never have known about it without the post here.
