Hi all I'm new here but im loving Train Sim World 2 ,hours of fun. I was wondering in regards to the preserved collection departure boards can we expect every preserved collection route to have them working such as Great Western Express? If so what do you think they'll inform the player of precisely? And do you think we will see this interesting feature added to East Coastway please? Again I'm new so I'm not too sure if I'm meant to post this here etc.
It might take some time until all preserved routes get the upgrade, but it is most likely that it will happen. If you have a gander on their homepage, there is a roadmap which lists these features and where you can track them. I remember that East Coastway, Rapid Transit and Long Island were mentioned first to get these boards. In terms of what they show, I don't know how exactly their tech works, but if the PIS system updates itself automatically on all routes each time they add functions, then expect to see the same functions as the latest releases, maybe rather from each seperate country. The PIS on München Augsburg show delay on the minute, the train number and the destination, the new ones on the upcoming Favorsham route seem to also show service operator, train length and the stations they are calling at - but no delay timing. If you want to go for the "safe bet", look at the bakerloo boards, that should be the minimum to expect.
When I comes to which Preserved Collection routes will get the PIS system, I expect it to come to following routes that don't have it right now: Routes which PIS System currently in production: East Coastway Long Island Rail Road Rapid Transit Routes that I think will get the PIS system in the end: Great Western Express Ruhr Sieg Nord Main Spessart Bahn Peninsula Corridor Rhein-Ruhr Osten Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen There's also an PIS system sitting on the platform at Ryde Esplanade on the Isle Of Wight by Rivet Games. It's not working right now, but it could be done up in the future if Rivet Games wanted to. However, I don't think we will be seeing a PIS system in these routes: Sand Patch Grade (Freight route, besides the one station on this route Cumberland, doesn't have a PIS System anyways) West Somerset Railway (Heritage Line, unless you wanted the times for each train drawn up on a chalk board somewhere in the station). Northern Trans-Pennine (Historic Route). Tees Valley Line (Historic Route). CN Oakville Subdivision (Unless they add a passenger DLC to this route, there is no chance of PIS ever being add to this route. Besides, I don't think any of the station have this in real-life anyways).
Thankyou very much for the reply and I'm so glad we may get the system on East Coastway and Great Western Express it'll be amazing and it will add to the realism.
Thankyou for the reply and I agree with you that we can use the Bakerloo lines system as a rough minimum expectation. Any sort of information system would certainly add to the experience
