I discovered the Speyside line the other day, was going to download it but it looks like there might be a extension in the very near future so am waiting a while. Will be an excuse to purchase some of Victorian Lads Caledonian Railway locos.

Makes you wonder what other websites are around with routes we don't know about.

That’s the one I just installed: looks well done, and nice to have something more familiar. I’ll mention it elsewhere, as this is supposed to be about 47s!

Having just stumbled upon this thread, I'd LOVE to see an accurately-modelled 47 bodyshell, with all of its' subtle curves, correctly shaped cabs, crib rails, later modified versions without them, &c. The whole shooting match. I've admired them from a very early age, the sim is in real need of a new model.

I agree with you that we need early AC locos for the WCML, however I have to agree with 749006. The WCML cuts a fine path through the West side of the country through the home counties and the Midlands into North West England. The same could be said about the ECML but on the Eastern side. Both cover a narrow corridor up to Scotland so while covering many counties you cant say the rollingstock cover most of the UK per region they travel through. As for Scotland the routes the said locos covered was very small. Carlisle to Glasgow and Edinburgh is a very small part of Scotland.

100% we need a good 47. Love them or hate them, they were the back bone of our front line network Until the HSTs and electrics arrived. With regards freight They were the most versatile locos we had until common-sense prevailed and we bought American. While unpopular with enthusiast, The EMD 645 and 710 Engines combined with the US tech provided a massive leap forward in reliability in the UK. So the 47 being my fifth fav uk loco. Id love to see a hi spec model in TS 2021. BTW the EMDs don't feature in my top 5.

    No.1 is the class 50, No.2 Class 52, No.3 Class 37 and 4 is the Class 20.
