I was playing LGV Med in an early morning setting and my god it's beautiful, I had never noticed the reflections of the TVM display on the windscreen before. But one thing had my attention, the sound. Anytime I went outside the train on the orbit camera the sounds were very buggy. I hope this can be fixed or improved in future routes.

Curious to know what buggy sounds were playing up? Horn? Whoosh? :D General train in motion?
Wheels? Environment? (Although not sure there is much noise at 300kph.

let us know though, I’ll fire it up later and see if I get the same.

The sounds on LGV are arguably the best in the game. At least they are not awful unlike many Pres.Co content

The traction motors and the rush of the air is on an obvious and unrealistic loop.

I’ll have a blast later, have played TGV a fair bit since release and can’t say I noticed anything.

On console, they just looped it without editing it. It ruins the immersion from the game

They have to be looped; they can't have 30-minute sound files!

Of course, the problem is that some sounds are better than others, for example LGV interior sounds are fantastic but others are really bad, especially the Pres.Co but I'm hopeful they will get better now that DTG has started to work to improve it.

The bad looped sounds is not only on Pres.Co. Take for example the ICE3, just hold the horn long enough and you can hear the horrible looping.

Looping sounds properly isn’t difficult. If the part of the software that pays the loops is broken then that’s a different matter but if you want to loop a sound well it can be done without the loop being obvious. It just requires careful listening and attention to detail. I suspect in a lot of situations it’s the software playing up, but if a loop is continuously playing properly and you can easily tell the loop points or a repeating pattern within it then that is down to poor execution or bad sound files.

So the horn is pretty typical, you can spot the loop anything from 4 to 6 seconds. It’s a nice sound I must say. Queue a favourite horn poll for fun?

and back to the Op’s main point. After much fun playing around with speeds and cameras etc (don’t get me started on the view swap with the tunnels, I should have known to wait for a clear outdoor patch)
.....currently rolling at a steady 299kph and the motors and air etc. Hats of to DTG on the audio here as it’s pretty much faultless and nothing to notice.

slowing down to Avignon... mild brakes at around 4.0 pressure and again nothing to fault.

why I’ve done this backwards I don’t know but the speed when accelerating at around 200 to 280kph?
I agree with the OP, the sound loop of 10 seconds is tragic and does indeed stand out like a sore thumb.
