Vey nice read, Nat mentioned something about services in a thread earlier, im hoping to services from St Pancras to beyond Ebbsfleet towards Ashford are added to the services, as i dont see AI from services from St Pancras that are not drivable serve any purpose

Am I right in thinking that if you're running late, the platform screens will show your ETA? Looking forward to this route. Great read.

They did well in the signaling but did a terrible job of modelling the route as a whole even though they had tons of reference. There should be no reason why the ts2021 version of the route feels more realistic than the tsw2 version

Sorry, this may not be the most appropriate thread but I can’t start a new thread here. Can I respectfully suggest that we hold back on the comments on SEHS until the next preview stream. Sam has hinted that you will hear the difference (as we were more or less told on the last stream) but changes wont be massive. However Natalie has said that scenery and services will also be addressed. These things are the main issues that have been raised so there seems little point in filling up the forum with more similar complaints or speculation until we know what will be in the release build and the day 1 patch that Sam has mentioned.

Great article, thank you! The signals look superb.
Can we glean from the part about the signals and their speed restrictions that we actually have approach control modelled now (in the UK)? i.e flashing yellows, release from red for a slow speed junction etc.

Thats interesting, I'm sure Matt said they hadn't got that far yet but there it is. Maybe it does it for the player service only right now?

Yes flashing yellows are modelled on this route.

And yes the signal placeholder image was taken from Hamburg Lubeck - because there was no screenshot of them on Southeastern High Speed as they've all been set up fully now :) The point however remains the same, placeholder signals look identical on all routes :)

    Matt.

Yes. When Matt P drove the route on the Festival of Steam stream he was running late and this was shown on the PIS.

On average we get 2 pre release streams and 1 post release, I think we should be getting one of those pre release streams done on console with each DLC.

I understand that they want to show their content in as best conditions as possible, but said conditions aren’t realistic for the majority of their player base.

God these clouds look so awful.. Really ruins the rest of the overall optics of the game even though other stuff like the trains are very very well made

It’s the same in east coastway at Brighton you cannot drive the London bound services

The AI services in SEHS currently are 20 minute services with 2 stops, before leaving the map, these are good candidates for player control services, unlike on ECW where they just drive straight into a tunnel and leave the map after a minute.

Yeah that is the most likely candidate for a service change, there isn't really anything else they can do unless they go back and add more trains and service patterns.

Could we get a response to removing the big ugly pop-up menu for open/close doors on PC?

Ive done polls, ive had sam and matt back in october saying the team forgot when bakerloo was released, still nothing?

I asked Sam on the roadmap stream and he and the other guy just agreed 'yes it needs to be done' but thats it? nothing about adding to roadmap or getting it done?

I wouldnt mind but this minor thing ruins the game, arcade sounds and a big animation when driving a 'realistic' simulator? not for me.

I have asked on probably 3threads on this forum and still not one member of DTG to respond or provide an answer/update. I appreciate there is lots to do and improve, but for me lets not get exited about 'better' features when we have simple easy fixes that can improve the game and experience 10-fold. I have literally stopped playing and buying because it takes away all realism and comfort to just sit and drive and enjoy without a reminder that your in a game every time you stop.

Back on bakerloo release they said 'next update maybe one after' and now the other day it was just a 'someone else deals with that'.

Please check my polls, comments and other feedback to my posts about this it is highly wanted and not just for my own pleasure.

    Thanks

Would be nice to see, however this is just one of many things that DTG put on their ‘want to do it’ list, and then it sits there for an indefinite amount of time.

IMO it’s a subject that the community need to keep hammering in, the more noise it creates, the more compelled DTG will be to sort it out.

    Squeaky wheel gets the oil.

I wouldnt mind but ive had matt and sam on two different streams both say 'yes we'll get that sorted asap'.....that was in october. I know sam backs the idea aswell and 99% of users, why is it console can have that but PC cant? makes no sense at all.....ive literally played 44hours of TSW2 as it bugs me that much.

We know you want this sorting but spamming loads of threads with the same post (twice together in this thread) isn’t going to help anyone. They will sort it next time they look at mapping the keyboard.

It was done twice in this thread on purpose.
If you looked at either of those posts you would see its in reply to Matt and the community manager respectively.
To get an answer from DTG. Why is it so diffecult to not drop a reply? Matt said this would be sorted when bakerloo was released.....still nothing so I'm not just going to do what most people do and go 'nevermind', Im looking for an answer that hasnt been given since october but still pops up in streams just with no actual factual information.

'Leave us a comment or question in the forum we'll get back to you' they say.......yeah sure.

Ian1991 - What has this got to do with SEHS?
If you want a response about this particular issue, which appears to affect all routes, you would be better off starting a thread in the Technical forum rather than one which is about building a specific route that has not been releassed yet.

Didnt read the post i written then? Its written here because this was brought up in the roadmap AND the preview stream but nothing answered? it keeps getting mentioned on streams by the devs but nobody has yet said 'when/who or how' just that they agree it needs to 'be sorted soon'......for the last 3months.

Ian1991 - Just poor taste to post the same desire [rant] twice in a thread where the desire is, at best, very marginally on topic, no matter how strongly you feel about it.

may also be tomorrow, as last weeks was.

In any case I expect it will be the same as usual with pre release streams, one being on the Tuesday before release, and another on the day of release (Thursday).

As far as we know no pre order on console but might be reduced when released by 10% for the first day.

This issue will be resolved soon hopefully but you are just gonna have to wait. It's good to make noise about what is a relatively simple issue and hopefully dovetail get back to you but your gonna have to wait.
