So many to choose from. All quite varied. There were/are around 10 or 11 classes of DEMU from the old Hastings units to the much more recent Voyagers. As for DMUs, there were/are over 40 different TOPS classes from Class 100 through to the most recent types with, so far, only classes 101 and 166 represented in game.
Personally i'd like something in the Midlands and how German routes dominates TSW maybe it should be even to all countries simulated?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA You're funny. I mean, sure, there's quite a lot of German content, but UK is on that top position too. There's no shortage for UK content.
Agreed that there is a lot of British content, but it has barely scratched the surface with the many different types.
really, there are not that many SEHS, GWR, WSR, TVL, ECT NTP. THERE ARE at least 7 german, and they are literally all the same, modern talent/ ice or simelar
Oh wow, so there's "only" 6 UK routes, while Germany leads the leaderboard with one more route. I mean seriously, go count the number of countries that have fewer than UK. Or go count countries which don't even one route. Whining about Germany having one more route than the UK is really, really childish. Especially while there are many of us looking forward to other countries getting their first route. UK does not have my sympathy. There's no shortage of UK routes at all. Never will be either, looking at the number of UK stuff available for TS.
firstly i play console, so i dont have TS. secondally the german routes are literally the same. Also im not saying england needs two many more routes, but the main demographic of players is US, UK AND GERMANY. yes there are other players from different countries but if i live in madagascar does that mean just because of me there should be 8 madagascan routes
Germany: RT, RSN, MSB, RRO, HRR, SKA, HMA = 7 loco dlc: 4 UK: GWE, WSR, NTP, TVL, ECW, BKL, IOW, SEH = 8 loco dlc: 5 Yeah, there is clearly way more German content than British... thankfully, the next 2 dlc will also be British to even it out. Meanwhile America with only 4 routes...
IM WEAK. Made a whole graphic for it! But for real, it's childish to think that they aren't focusing much on U.K content. It's also childish to think that all German routes are the same when you have routes like SKA and HMA that have a wide variety of services/rolling stock.
But who was talking about TS? Proof? Does every route run from Berlin to Leipzig? Does every route include the BR 423? Does every route have High-Speed Services with the ICE?
I suggested a Class 124 for NTP honestly looks neat and when i read up on it i thought it would be a great addition to NTP Edit: i read up on the 124s here https://www.railcar.co.uk/type/class-124/
Hi Zeenoz, Great content, please can you review this: Cross City Line For Tsw 2 | Dovetail Games Forums
Personally mate, i agree it is a bit petty how were begging for UK Content, but it is stupid as the UK Content is like the Well-Known and its kind of sad how Dovetail's home country is neglected in content and appreciation for the routes.
I don't think the U.K. is really neglected by DTG. I just think they haven't satisfied everyone yet. People want a route based around London with lots of laying rolling stock and harsh timetables, while DTG is giving us more suburban routes like ECW and SEHS. Now, it's extremely noticeable how the UK/US routes aren't even near the quality of the German routes. Take a look at HMA and SEHS, there's a big Quality difference.
It is childish to make several suggestion videos that are all very similar routes, on such a regular basis. Frankly if people want the UK that is fine, it doesn't make them childish. I mean your little line 'We want NYC subway!' is definitely representing that. But at the end of the day, DTG is a business and they will make DLC that people will buy. Not obscure countries that might have some support, especially when British DLC is highly requested. I don't buy all the German content as it does feel a little similar but that is just my opinion. You are allowed to think the German route are interesting but allow people their opinions. It may be because the liveries are the same, it may be because the driving experience is very similar, but still respect what people think. They have made a huge step up for SEHS, the timetable is harsh with the 7 trains per hour in the core section, it is nearly impossible to keep on time. Each route has it's own features, maybe the British routes are of a lower quality because we know them better as a community. We can see tiny details that are wrong. Perhaps all the complaints about British routes causes less British route development.
And we are just patiently waiting for our turn with a new route, at least we will get 2 in the near future, though they wont satisfy everyone's tastes (Since both are freight routes).
At least I'm not out here throwing a fit because I'm not getting the route I want. Yes, I want NYC Subway, but I'll take routes from the UK and Germany, or France and Italy, even Japan and China. What I'm saying is, it's childish to think the UK has been neglected when you look at how much content it actually has. Look at the American content we have in the game. We have barely any of it. But we aren't raving and saying "AMERICA IS NEGLECTED BY DTG!" People enjoy my suggestion videos, people want me to make certain suggestions in my videos, so I do that. "All very similar routes" By you saying that it just means you have not watched them, so you have no place to comment on them. I know that America may not have the best Rail Network in the world, which is why I try to stick to suggesting stuff on the East Coast, it's also another reason that most of my suggestions are actually for the U.K. But you would've known that if you actually watched them. If you don't like them, ignore them, don't just go after them for no reason.
I wish they were passenger routes as we haven't had one for a while. But you're totally right, we are patiently waiting. Not creating threads talking about them "neglecting a country in the game".
Well, it's somehow a mistake to think that "just I don't buy this or that stuff, the majority don't buy this or that stuff. Actually, DTG has more than a decade of experience, where are the 'hardcore' train sim buyers, where are the big markets in that niche. As they talk in streams about 'the big three', they know what they are talking about. Some germans may also buy british and american or even french dlcs, some American will buy british and german dlcs. Just because british people only buy british content, it won't be a good decision only to focus on british content. On the long view, they would loose the markets in Northern American and Germany, and all the other countries, if there will be another company, that don't focus only on one of the 'big three'. I think, DTG is on the right way, not to divide the 'hardcore scene' into a "'we got that amount of buyers, so we need that percentage of released content!", but to keep it together, to make more and more routes from more and more countries by time.
Agreed, people love your content but these people literally think you only do US Content suggestions, you don't
For the record, I have watched them. London to Brighton and Thameslink have both been suggested by you in the regular suggestions that you do. I am just stating that the routes that you suggest all have a very similar feel to them. You have suggested many different metro style lines and a few busy mainlines. I haven't seen you request less busy routes that some people may want. People subscribing to you won't make Thameslink any more likely as I quote: 'LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you want to see Thameslink in TSW 2.' In my view, your routes are almost all subway lines with a few mainline suggestions. People are allowed to request what they want. For me, it is the modern British routes. I never complained about the routes that you were suggesting, just the fact that the routes would have a similar driving experience where many want a varied experience.
I am referring to the fact that it would be a gamble. Yes people would buy it but should they not have enough sales, then they would be less likely to make another new countries route. They have to be sure that the market is there and that may be why they don't step out of the comfort zone much.
The like portion will help. If DTG goes on YT to see what people are saying about the game, and stumble across the suggestion, they'll see the amount of support behind the suggestion, especially Thameslink as it is my best one. The Subscribe portion, is just reminding people to subscribe to the channel if they enjoy the content. It's a simple technique that can help you grow your channel. I grew up in a city where the Subway controls everything. I love Subway Lines because of their Uniqueness. Especially when it comes down to LU and NYCT. All similar isn't really true when you have lines that I suggest like the Lex with crazy service patterns, when you have Lines like the Circle/H&C that goes in a circle and passes through some cool-looking stations. Sure, you might think they all have the same feel, but I could say the same exact thing about Main Lines. You're is subjected to your own opinion, and I am to mine. You think that they all feel similar, while I think differently. I do different types of suggestions, not just Metro/Subway Lines. I have the West Coast Main Line, Amtrak, London Overground, London - Brighton, Thameslink, and BART which are all Commuter (Not Subway) routes. Many people who comment on those suggestion videos, ask for me to make a certain suggestion for them. Like my Jubilee Line one. That was their suggestion for me to make a suggestion. I do what most of my subscribers want, which is clear from the engagement on the videos. Back on topic before this thread gets locked.
That isn't how you worded it. You worded it such that people LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE to support a route. Not just like to support a route.
