That’s the way I interpreted it. We’ll leave it at that then...no doubt it will come out in the fullness of time
Please, please, can this thread die a natural death. Anyone who cared knows the secret was steam. Enough already.
There are other secrets for sure. So far we uncovered an update to Unreal 4.26 which was leaked and steam which was announced. Sam’s working on something else, let there be no doubt. He’s up to something, in a design capacity. I think there is an entirely new simulation game coming, and it will be more arcade based, for the gamers who find TSW too technical. Similar to a Japanese train game methinks. Big gap in the market that needs filling? Very early days, nothing to discuss just yet? Boom, nailed it. [hides under duvet]
Sam’s had this up his sleeve for a while. This is what he’s been talking about with him working in a design capacity. He’s working on the gameplay aspect with his extensive knowledge of the gaming side of things and interpretation of what the players want. There will be a gang of other people reigning him in to keep it within a realistic simulation arena, hence Rush Hour and not ‘Derail TSW de Go! Deluxe Toilet Edition’. Team effort, not just Sam. I think it’s all part of growing the audience for TSW whilst keeping it authentic. More exciting but also more like the real railway. Marrying those two things is no easy task. Let’s hope it delivers and leads to a bigger player-base and a better experience.
As I said previously (the last post before the thread came back), the thread will usually lie dormant until something new (like Rush Hour) comes along. I'd rather bring back a thread than get this one locked and have to create a new one; it seems like a waste since they'll always be based on the same thing.
