On SEHS you can remove and insert the master key using the d-pad like the reverser, I love this feature! Such a simple consideration but makes a world of difference for controller users.
Personally I find it annoying, because it doesn’t switch to the reverser after you activate the master key, so you still end up having to fiddle about. Binding options can’t come soon enough, and speaking of cameras and controls, the deadzones are awful with the analog sticks, hopefully we can get some settings for those too.
It does switch to the reverser, you just have to keep pressing the down button. I generally just press the down button now until the key is in and I’m in forward. I hope they bring this to every train in the game (where applicable). It makes things much easier. Incidentally, you don’t have to be in neutral to do the power changeover either. Not sure if it’s a bug or whether you don’t have to go in neutral despite the tutorial telling you to do so.
That’s the thing though, you eventually do end up with the correct setting, but it doesn’t do it simply, nor consistently, it’s just much faster and simpler to do it via the cab controls, and if they ever make the power change and start up procedure correct it would require the multi function to be changed too, because it doesn’t handle multiple positions across the 2 controls at all.
