Is it me or is the train too quiet. I know the in general it is a quiet train but even the running sounds are quiet. I know that DTG had some sound updates to do on the game. I don't know if this one has already been adressed. Is it just me?

The sound of the 395 when in free cam and the train is moving is too quiet and there is no track noise whatsoever. So no it's not you. It should get fixed in a patch but it should've been fixed prior to release

Simple solution drive with cab doors open and you get sounds in cab

Inside the cab is fine. It's outside

There is track sounds I drive with cab doors open and you hear track sounds as well as the motors such as flange squeal going over joints etc

But only parts of the train do that and not the whole train. Only the cab car makes track noise from the outside which is unrealistic because the whole train is supossed to make track noise, not the cab car part of the train

Maybe but what you have to realise that hitachi made the javelin to be a quiet train you cannot reasonably expect a noisy train as the whole point of simulation is to be as true to the real train as possible not over inflating things

Still in the game it is way too quiet, especially compared to the ambience. If you look at a video of a Javelin then you'll see - unless you've already seen the train in real life
