Agreed. This thread isn't for DTG stuff... which you'd be blind to miss. It's for the 3rd party stuff. Although posting DTG sales in here does no harm.
You say that, but I missed a September one, last chance to get a certain bundle cheap...then the bundle went off sale. Two routes I won't be getting anytime soon...
Just seen an absolute steal of a deal for train sim on Humble bundle. Cannot believe ve how good it is you can train sim 21 + extras for 73p or give more as it for charity https://www.humblebundle.com/games/...cbf8657e2757674:ot:5e39e762d8a09ee6238bcf8c:1
Great catch. Indeed it's the best deal you'll find, period. A bit of an odd selection as none of the trains in the bundle have scenarios to run on any of the routes than actually come with TS2021, but for someone filling out a collection, it's fantastic.
To be honest... I'm not too worried as its worth it for the TS21 routes alone... Roll on Thursday (pay day)... Eric
There is no subscription - it is a one off payment I had a bundle last year The subscription mentioned at the top is optional
Thanks Peter. Turned out it was a crooked bit failure. Closing browser (which also deletes cookies) made it disappear. I deleted my previous post to prevent damaging the charity reputation.
"Inspired" by the Humble Bundle sale I started browsing . . . . . . . . I never pay much attention to it, but remember there is also the DTG Weekly Deals ! https://store.dovetailgames.com/uk/sale
Reviewed the Humble Bundle. The 2021 package is meh since I want to grab WCML South in the Deluxe Edition during a 60% off or so sale anyway (without that route, unlocking the route package in the bundle is undoubtebly better as WCML South on sale costs more than the package of all four routes, making the one in the bundle one I can hang on to for...trading). I'm disappointed no routes are included besides that this time; the last bundle was attractive as a newer player because you got 8 additional routes on top of the package, though a couple were repeated in other items on later buys (Morristown including North Jersey Coast Line for instance). Among the included locomotives, I'm missing seven, most in the second tier. So that's 11 locomotives I'll be able to hold on to. Might be willing to trade my duplicates over time.
I'm not sure we want to discuss that subject further. Though it makes me wonder how that is the case.
> makes me wonder how that is the case. I assume the basic information in your equation is incorrect.
Digital Traction: 60% off all items we sell, please enter code “DTSale” in your cart. Our forthcoming LNER J70 order is also now available for pre-order, with 33% off. (£9.99 instead of £14.99) Both offers end Sunday 14th February.
Apologies if this a stupid question with an obvious answer and/or has already been answered. If I already own ts2021 (through a free update) and I buy the humble bumble pack, do I get the ride circle route that comes with the ts2021 in that pack?
You only own the newest version of the program that runs TS2021 but not of the routes that came with it. That is what you get in the Free Upgrade each year so we are all on the same game software. Buy the cheapest Humble Bundle and you will install all three routes that came with TS2021
Is there a way I can do this without paying a monthly membership (even if I cancel after a day). #cheapskate
I figured it out just as I made that post. Have had a lot of fun playing on the Fife Line. The Class 68 is not a simple locomotive to drive and I'm still learning how to balance between the air brakes and the dynamic braking. Big thumbs up for me as I like relatively complicated locomotives (although not at the USS Enterprise level of complexity that some locos seem to have) as I find simple go and stop units quite dull.
I prefer a challenge too: the most modern loco I’ve tried so far is the Class 87, and will venture into the Star Trek Voyagers and what not in due course. If you fancy a challenge, try the Class 76, with its series and parallel modes, and its regenerative braking.
Is the Woodhead Blue 76 different to the original Woodhead 76? I have the original black one, which was fun but not too taxing. The 86s and 87s are my favourite electric units to drive.
Enjoyed the recent RSSLO sale last week offering up to 40%. Purchased some interesting routes there. Hope DTG will have a sale soon, better than their weekly deals.
Usually DTG do a big sale just before a Steam Sale and usually about the same discount But you still find discounts on other resellers like Greenmangaming and others
How about the March madness sale? It was on steam in previous years. DTG tends to have more sales than the 'official' steam ones
Looking at the past couple of years, the March Madness sale has been the first Thursday in March. Which by my reckoning is tomorrow! Fingers crossed
Hope so but the fact that there is no weekly deals this week is possibly that a sale is imminent although I heard a rumour that Steam were having a sale on March 25th if not tomorrow, for the Remote Play Together Event 2021on 25 March 2021. See below for the next advertised Steam sale. https://steamdb.info/sales/history/
Some stuff here: https://www.gamebillet.com/search?q=train+simulator Woodhead Electric in Blue is at it's lowest ever price.
I was able to find some items in sale this week but I needed to drill into the train simulator add-ons and filter by "sale".

Tempted to get Weardale and Woodhead in Electric Blue in the gamebillet sale. I know Woodhead in Electric Blue has mixed reviews - is it worth getting?
Just had a start on the Weardale. Very impressed. Horrific career point scores on the Class 25 scenario I did as I struggled with the constant braking with the heavy coal train on the downhill. Intrigued by the tender brake unit (not that I felt it did anything). What was the main negative of the Woodhead? I know the 76 is meant to be excellent but it's not like you can use it elsewhere if the route itself is awful.
The Woodhead route has plenty to keep you entertained. I recently added a Woodhead scenario pack from Steam too. It's really one of my most used routes. Although the 76 was "confined" to that route, I find it one of the most satisfying and interesting locos to drive on TS, and there's no end of possibilities with it, getting freight up the hill and mastering regenerative braking. Don't forget you can use the 506 EMU too, and there's no reason diesels can't appear on it too. Don't tell anyone else: it might be a 1.5kV DC loco, but the 76 does work under 25kV AC lines or no lines in TS Did I mention, it's worth getting? You won't regret it. Just do it. Do it now!
