This is probably the one known DLC that I'm looking forward to the most. Can't wait to actually drive an F7. Please, do not fudge this one up!! Such an iconic locomotive. I think this is actually the very first locomotive I remember as a young child. In its now classic, iconic Santa Fe livery, just as in my forum avatar. A friends big brother had it on his and his dad's model railroad (we kids were of course not allowed to touch it) in the early 60's. I have always loved it since I saw it back then for the very first time.

So by the looks of this, definitely after Arosa. Either way, all I can say is about damn time. Hopefully, It'll be worth it when announced.

Edit: and I know Arosa is being made by Rivet. But still.

Not necessarily. Projects develop at their own pace, even in the same studio, and Arosa is being done by Rivet - whose only previous route for TSW is the short and geographically simple Isle of Wight.

Finally, we can get a new US route for TSW2, cant wait to put the livery designer back to use painting the F7 into different colors, as well as operating the vintage equipment over the route.

I just hope there aren't any major issues on release......

Maybe they will introduce some new mechanics, or maybe we'll get 'just' a new landscape. Remastered SPG and the surprisingly successful Dash 8 fill my heart with hope. Besides, there's never too much US freight.

Woohoo! High Fives all around! Put out more flags! Made my day! I hope this is the first of many NA routes and locomotives in the next couple of years. I'm not getting any younger.
Hope there's a pre- sale. My Steam wallet is waiting.

Just looking up Clinchfield. That name and livery shouts Bond villain front company for some reason.

Yes, can't wait for the F7, a wonderful, imposing beast of a loco, especially with the B unit trailing. There were so many in such great liveries and the good thing is that many have been preserved, often in operational condition. Pity we're not getting the GP7 at launch, maybe it'll be added later.

I anxiously await the F7. I would be more excited if it weren't for the OSD GP9s using the old (and inaccurate) EMD 567 engine sounds from Yore. I do hope they've improved the sounds as they are particularly important to me for this locomotive, but I won't hold my breath. What can be certain is that it will look astounding.

    Cheers

I would usually do this kinda of thread but someone's beaten me to it today, so oh well.

But anyways, this is a significant route for a number of reasons
    • First period America route in TSW
    • First new North American route in TSW in over a year (Since CN Oakville Subdivison came out this time last year)
    • First new route set in USA in over 18 months (Since Peninsula Corridor came out with TSW 2020 in August 2019)
This is also the first of two US freight routes we are getting. The other is Cane Creek being developed by Skyhook Games (Which is also their first route for TSW) which also makes me curious as to when that route will come out compared to when this route comes out.

    Finally ...
I will finally be able to ride with the skin of the US locomotives of the Sand Patch that I had made in anticipation for this route.
I can't wait to ride on this line, I hope it will be superb.

They are all available at TSC in the fictitious US skin for the locomotives and in the US wagons for the two wagons.

What GP9? AIUI Clinchfield will come with the F7A&B, and the SD-40.

Besides, the Clinch only ever owned two GP9s; their old-school shunters were 7s.

If DTG reused old, poor EMD 567 engine sounds for the OSD GP9, I expect them to use those same sounds for the F7... which is my concern.

    Cheers

I remember driving this F-unit in ‘Trainz Driver’ (mobile) back in 2012 as a little kid. It was the first train I ever drove.

Since the release of CSX Heavy Haul, I always dreamed of someday driving an F-unit in TSW, and that day is only 1-2 months away! :D
