We'll probably see an 'announcement' for the Great Western Blue DLC before long as well since the achievements for that have been added to the game.

This looks like it could be fun. My doubts are over how the mountains look and pop-in on console.

Could be promising, the screenshots really show how shoddy the TSW lighting system is though, so saturated and exaggerated bloom. I also feel the shots are pretty selectively picked to NOT show the mountains....we'll see.

This route looks very good so far, especially the first screenshot. Hopefully the Unreal Engine will make mountainous routes look better than their TS2021 equivalents.

Very great but I think, that the snow need some time of work because I can't see much snow in the pictures, that looks like early spring not like winter

I've done my research and the ballast should be a lighter gray not the colour used in the screenshots

To be honest the route looks good overall but could do with some polishing.

Very nice screenshots, I do hope it is good as I really like the idea of a metre-gauge route (cough cough Euskotren next!), and it'll be good to have a mountainous environment in the game too. But mostly I really hope those on-street sections work well and look good on console.

Looks pretty good, seems actually a huge step up from previous TSW routes.

Now, do not screw it up at launch as you always do. Please.

Surely they'll have to do at least one pre-release stream on console for this release, draw distance is abysmal on consoles so i'm curious as to what they have done to get around the issue - if they have.

Remember guys, this route has been developed by Rivet Games and not DTG, so DTG doesn't really have the ability to change things like they did with SEHS.

Looks really promising so far. As others has mentioned, the big question is how the mountains will look. From what little we can see from these few pictures, that town scenery on the top of the hill and the blurry mountains from the shed shot look alright, but can't tell for sure.

Really looking forward to it, hope they manage to do a great job with it.

Capturing the verticality will be interesting, the train looks nice and has a variety of things it can pull. I like the fact that it has a city streets part and a more rural feel as it goes up the mountain.

Hopefully the driving experience is different between going up and down, especially when it has a consist.

the screenshots are sensational, and I am very looking forward for the launch of this route because another new nation is coming into the game, which is Switzerland with its incredible landscapes, and the driving experience will be very different! It seems that Rivet Games is taking it easy and working well on the product, and I hope it will be a clean launch, unlike DTG and its unfinished and rushed products.

Unreal Engine certainly allows you to make lovely looking scenery and mountains, however in TSW’s case, this won’t be the case.

In some screenshots you can quite clearly see the mass of 2D trees placed on a plain, green hill. TSW also doesn’t support distant shadows so mountains will look flat and a lot brighter than the near side scenery.

This line is truly a 1st for tsw2 mainly for the fact this route uses 1000mm track gauge while all other routes are 1435mm guage that should make off the rails mode interesting to use with this routes trains.

All the screen shots show the GE electric locomotive. Nothing is mentioned about the Abe 8/12 Allegra which is used on this route, wonder if Rivet is going to include them?

As far as I know, no. It looks they put the route a bit back in time. I think a separate loco gives a bit more flexibility to add pure freight trains than the Allegra. I like it, but I hope the blue liveries for the coaches will be included as well. The one time I visited Arosa this was very remarkable where most of RhB stock was in red livery. It is not a bad choice I think.

Looks good. I, too, am concerned about shadow draw distances and distant mountains, but we'll put water under that burning bridge when we come to it. I am glad about the choice of Ge 4/4 II over the Abe 8/12 Allegra as I am a sucker for older electrics. :)

    Cheers

Wow! Very nice pictures in the articel, that looks fantastic. Looking forward to this (hopefully) great DLC. Maybe Rivet will bring us more exciting RhB add-ons for TSW2 in the future? Would definitely nice :)

I’m getting concerned about the number of things I want to buy. There’s just too much content being released. With this and Clinchfield coming hot on the heels of SEHS, I’m going to wait until both are released to see if I can hold off buying at full price. They both look great. It might turn out to be a battle between Rivet and DTG to see who gets my money. And then there’s the new batch of routes that will soon be announced. Oh my word, loco DLC too. That’s all going to have to wait, routes like this are more important.

You do realise you don't have to buy everything. Matt said on the stream the other night that TSW DLC is meant to be a buffet, and not an all you can eat one! :D

Have you seen how fat I’ve become? An apt analogy. I didn’t buy LGV or HMA so I had some breathing space between IoW and SEHS but with two routes that I really want coming so soon I am feeling rather greedy. I dare not even look at loco DLC because that’s like having an extra pudding. At least my wallet will be losing weight.
