I think this is pretty self explanatory. The 380 should be coming with the CCL from the start anyway but that isn't happening, so the next best thing is a loco DLC. The 380 would bring loads more variety to the route and make it way more interesting than just the 313 being basically reused *EDIT* I’m editing this now because I must admit I was wrong about CCL. Even with the 1 train its a fantastic route and is great route to drive. But still, the class 380 would be a great addition to CCL and would make the route feel more varied and add a bit more personality to Glasgow Central. I hope this gives slightly better info on the train than my original post as the original came across as a bit of a rant (my apologies)
There is more than the 314 coming to the route, but they were only authorised to tell us about the 314. It’s not clear if additional trains will come with the route or be additional DLC though. Any trains in use will be limited to between 2004 and 2015 as it’ll be the First ScotRail era as opposed to the current Abellio ScotRail era.
The 380 would make sense, as they where introduced in 2010 and were used on peak services during the First ScotRail era. If it does just end up as the 314 it would be a bit of a disappointment having a route with basically one reused train
I would love to see the Class 380! The route needs variaty of trains, and it would be the first "Desiro" to come to TSW 2. I hope DTG makes as a dlc
Or it will come with the route they said that the 314 is not the only train that comes with route correct me if I'm wrong
Saw it now on another thread here. I hope that the 314 is not the only train included. Because DTG releases a route with 2 trains as per usual
This is a must have- it would generate a good dlc description. For example, they could lead with the fact how modern and popular the units are
318’s and 320’s, yes Also after I did some research the 380’s can only do 2 runs because they overheat with lots of stops
Not sure 385s would fit the era as they came into service in 2018 and the route is set 2011-2012 The 318s and 320s got cascaded onto the route fairly recently, so they would not have been regulars on the route during the time period it is set
That is before the class 380s were built so the 380s would have replaced the 318s and 334s on peak services on the route around 2010-2011. The route is set around 2011
The 320s didn't run on the line during the time period of the route in game unfortunately . They only began to run on the route in 2016 when the 314s started to get withdrawn
For me, the 380 is a must. I always travel on them on the North Berwick branch when visiting family there. Would be awesome to drive a train I see regularly. Even though it looks a bit ugly, it has a LOT of charm to it.
I agree but I’m not sure why the route just comes with the 314 they might announce more locos or info later to release
318s generally stopped being used to supplement the 314s after the 380s came in (2010) and 320s didn’t start on the line until 2016 when the 314s started to get moved to other lines. 380s would make the most sense as during the time period the route is set they were used on peak services and occasionally other services as well
For me the 380 is most likely, and one i really want to see, the next i would hope would be the class 320, for me the 318 looks a bit too similar to the class 314, no chance for the 385, didn't even exist when the route takes place, the 334 would be interesting, but less likely than the 380, 320 and 318.
Now when rivet is done with the 38stock and dtg has released all of their rush hour routes they can hopefully get staff working on loco dlcs The 380 & 318 would be an other instant buy from me. Im also hoping for some heritage locos like the class 25 or class 56 grid.
Excellent idea but the longer you use class 380 you're going to get a message that says Service failure traction motor overheat
