This all may be so. You do not have to buy this route, feel free to leave it alone. I probably will like it a lot and I do not care for the Allegra train. It is possible that Rivet will add the Allegra at some point, but for now this is what you may expect. Would be interesting if we can download this Lokdienst document somewhere. Do you have a link?

Not only that, but consoles make up for 67% of the sales. Releasing TSW on consoles made the market 3 times as big as it would be on PC only. All those extra revenue can now be used to increase production and quality. Note that good old PC-only Train Simulator never had a dedicated team fixing old DLC.

And yes, I'm a PC player. I realize there's a few oddities in games designed to work in consoles (like the way menus work...), but I'm happy that TSW is available for consoles. Not just for those console players, but also for myself.

We get it, you like the Allegra. Many of us like the Ge 4/4 II instead. Rivet chose to go with the Ge 4/4 II, so you're unhappy and we're happy. Making silly arguments doesn't change this fact.

To cheer you up, Rivet has done several RhB lines for Train Simulator, and a few of those use the Allegra. I'm pretty confident Arosa won't be the last RhB TSW-add-on made by Rivet, so we're likely to see the Allegra in future. At least, that's my expectation.

I believe these are the plans they‘re referring to. Be warned though, all of the provided explanations are in German.

Thank you. I am not afraid of a bit of German language. When I went to school it was mandatory to learn English, French and German, as well as a lot of other subjects that I thought to be more interesting like math, science, geography, history and so on. I must say I am quite happy for the opportunity to learn some foreign languages decently.

Another advantage to the Ge 4/4 II: it provides a huge scope for Livery Designer, since so many of them have been done up in unique paint jobs.

    EXACTLY :]
And: Most of them are really easy to remake, because they are no actual fotos, more artwork or just letters.

If you are referring to the platform going right up to the rail then that's how it is in reality, as seen in this video (36 minutes in)

As the others said that’s realistic.

On another note that screenshot does look good. Especially that wood texture.

If it improved the lighting, would you sacrifice a dynamic time of day? Should there be an option to have time set at a certain point and have say 3 baked in lighting settings for morning, afternoon and night? Or even dawn, noon and dusk? It is an interesting question, I have rarely played for long enough in one sitting for the sun to noticably move across the sky!

    It basically means static lighting.

100% yes as their dynamic lighting is poor at best. Service mode has always been dead too so its not like we'd lose much either.....

I don't know how it's gotten worse since TVL, seeing as it was much better than what we have now before then

The answer for this question may or may not be a hint towards a future TSW2 route from Rivet. Does anyone know which route for TS1 includes this cab car they are talking about?
EDIT- After trying to do some research on what TS1 dlc, whether route or loco packs from Rivet included. I can’t find any Swiss content released by Rivet that includes the Control car. If someone else has any information please feel free to share!

I've got two questions for this route.

    1. Will there be additional locomotive DLCs for the route in the future, like the ABe 8/12 and such?
    2. I'm curious about the station announcements on the route. Would they be in German, Italian, or possibly both?

I have reached out to Rivet on the official Rivet games forums to ask about the “request stop” feature that was included in the TS1 version of this route. I hope they were able to implement this as it would be a big step forward having it featured for the first time in TSW2.

and I can bring you their answer ;D
They said that the “stop on request button” will work on both, the station and the train if it works as it is planned. BUT: At this moment, they are not sure if AI services will pay attention to them.
It would be a shame if they wouldn’t but I guess Rivet will implemnt that; otherwise it would be very weird to have them haha

I would be happy without the cab car included, because i prefer at the end of the service to run around the locomotive to the other end, is more imersive and interative, in my opinion. And i really don't like Cab cars

As the route is set in 2016, cab cars would be wrong, as then no cab cars were used on the Arosa Line. There were some trials, but lots of problems.

I am more interested in seeing the timetable, what it will look like. Hopefully we will get some stream soon.

From the screenshots, the route looks good.

With off the rails will we still be unable to run anything other than the supplied trains due to the gauge differences?

Yay! It may look dumb having an AC4400 driving down a street in rural Switzerland but it still will be fun! Good to see they'll let us do it.

6D011445-5936-42BA-9533-F6F3EF864E68.jpeg This is an answer to whether or not there will be interaction between automotive and pedestrian traffic and having a “game over” if you happened to hit any of them while driving. Considering the way traffic is implemented I figured it would be a monumental task so that’s okay, he does say there is some cool stuff though! Can’t wait!

So to end the endless answers on the control box:
You don’t have to push the button in the box! It’s just a “surpluse feature” so you will be able to drive past with or without the button in the box.

    Release smells imminent.

I love that they're giving the locos individual names and coats of arms, just like in RL.

The FPS is horrendous, and the mountains look... unfinished.

Other than those two issues, the route looks good (from what we’ve seen so far).

What an amazing loco, I don't know how to say it other than that it is full of character. Love the inside and outside. I wonder how many different coat of arms they will have in this? It adds so much if your loco can be recognized by more than just its number. This is also why I liked the idea of the trainbow as a random encounter.

It's apparently a neat little feature added with TSW2; DTG are taking advantage of it in the rebuilt Class 52, which it seems will all have individual names.

Great detail and modeling by Rivet games. The locomotive looks awesome and the detail of the cab is simply amazing!! This is why we need more third parties developers, the detail and the effort is different!

FPS on the Rivet video?? I watched a stream that Rivet did for IoW and their FPS was shocking on that as well but the game works fine. It must be the way they capture video. I had to stop watching that stream as, along with the fps issue, Jasper wasn’t opening the doors at stations (I think they must open automatically in TS, so he was probably expecting that) but the passengers were still exiting through the closed doors. It was very odd.

Anyway, the cab looks brilliant on this. I hope the console build is better than IoW was, because there are still some LOD issues on PS4 with some camera views. I’m trusting DTG as the publishers not to allow it to be released with issues like that this time. If the route is built as nicely as IoW though, I think I’m going to enjoy this one a lot. It looks like the GE 4/4 II has the potential to become my favourite loco in TSW, and that’s just from the looks. Can’t wait to drive it.
