Well the release of the new route DLC is done and dusted, what can we expect next, creation tools, train DLC for CSX, GWE and Rapid Transit?

Please be patient. The team at Dovetail Games are working hard to make these tools available to us.

Dovetail have hinted many times that a DLC is coming for GWE soon. Most likely within a month or so.

Maybe a 387 although its range would be limited on GWE unless the OHLE was extended.

If it's going to be a RT loco: I sincerely hope they're fixing the PZB / signalling issues with it, since it'd have not much sense of releasing a brand-new loco, which most likely will work all fine on a route that's still bugged. And because of that reason I don't think we'll be getting anything for RT before GWE, since we just got an update and the next one will take a while. Meanwhile GWE is alright they would "only" have to extend the OHLE for proper 387 runs.

They could add the Class 165 instead. They have options. Could do with getting the lack of flashing yellow signals fixed though.

I’d say bug fixes and DLC for the GWE route. Obviously for an electric train to feature (Class 387 or IET) they’d need to extend the wires beyond Airport Junction and electrify the relavent lines and platforms at Reading.

If this does happen I’d like to see the correct type of OHLE used for the area and not just a copy and paste job.

Can't say exactly what's next, but there is some very interesting stuff being worked on that we should be talking about relatively soonish.

What would be your preferred addition to the game?

Any hints? My preference would be GWE extended past reading OR the branch lines introduced for service mode OR the class 387/800 introduced..or a train for GWE..of course a wish is to have all of these but nothing happens that fast.

Could you reply with a smiley face if any of the above are being worked on? :)

I would also like an extension of GWE or one of the branch lines with some new locos and this is coming from an American.

Matt on discord and Jay on the forums have hinted and said to expect something for GWE soon. More likely than not it's a new loco.

Class 387 by a mile! Reason being, you can make use of the electrified section to Hayes & Harlington, the Class 800 wouldn’t add much as it’s still means going to and from Reading not much variety! Class 387 could be used to Reading when eventually electrified in game!

If not that, one of the branch lines such as Henley-on-Thames, Windsor, or Marlow!

The thing I want the most is the fix for traction motors. But in terms of new content, hmm... maybe steam?

Well, you are the only ones who can make it happen :P

I would love to see a Double Decker in the Game soon! Maybe something like a DB Br 143. Passenger Mode would surely be amazing.

I want some FGW paint! I’d buy that pretty easily. But in general, something for GWE would be cool. As much as RT needs more than just the Talent 2, I’m more interested in the GWE stuff. (Maybe if RT had more than the Talent 2 in the first place I would be more passionate about it, oh well.)

I’d personally wouldn’t buy a repaint. (Unless you don’t mean the purchase sort ) I’d imagine this feature in an update and would become an option just like with the Class 66 with the DB and EWS liveries.

Furthermore, once third party developers have access to the game, I assume there will be a load of liveries out there. Just look at UKTS for Train Simulator. All freeware.

Long Island Railroad! Obviously not happening anytime soon unfortunately, with this DLC just releasing. I would love to see it ASAP as an expansion of the NEC DLC!
