    Dang, that FPS!:o

The FPS issue is most likely due to the graphics settings being on high, and therefore FPS is low, which the graphics settings might be on high or ultra because they don’t wanna disappoint us with how the mountains look like lol. Other than that, the loco model is very nice and clean, great job Rivet! It’s also a very loud loco to my surprise, louder than the ps4’s jet engine fan lol!

Agreed we do need more third party dev's for TSW2, I am really impressed with what I see Rivet has done with this loco.

Me too, it’s very impressive! I’m also impressed by how they’ve been able to pull off the street running and guard signal, although the guard signal isn’t necessary to proceed to the next stop I believe. A future update to TSW might mean the street running will be improved and we’ll actually have to watch for pedestrians and cars, which would be really interesting to see.

Functional information/displays/radio screens? It would be amazing. I'm already impressed by only having information and etc.

With Clinchfield coming soon-ish, Arosa was looking like a wait for sale candidate for me, but after this video, that may have changed. Sure, the mountains don‘t look perfect, but everything else looks gorgeous. And that loco looks lovely and full of character. I only hope Rivet manages to avoid the disastrous console release of IoW for this route.

Schweizerdeutsch could be an entire language of its own.

So just like scotland is part of the UK and not it's own country.
Your saying switzerland is in some way part of germany, that doesn't even make sence.
Because i'm pretty sure switzerland is it's own country unlike scotland apparently.
Unless they merged together and i missed it.
And all i was asking about was that the Ge 4/4 II loco have a control panel for english as a option.

    Hi Shino Baz,
    There is no Swiss Language.
In Switzerland they speak either German, French or Italian.

But we shouldn’t forget that this is a train simulator forum, and should move back to the topic ;D

Switzerland has a very interesting linguistic makeup, having four officially-recognised national languages. In fact, Switzerland wishes to remain so neutral with regards to its national languages that it is often officially referred to as Confoederatio Helvetica, or its Latin name of Helvetic Confederation. This is actually why Swiss websites have the .ch TLD. :)

It was never my intention for this topic to get "off track" all i had originally ask was would there be a english option for the Ge 4/4 II loco cab controls.

I believe the low FPS is due to this being run from the Unreal Editor.
It will be normal when all baked and on your machine.

Fun fact, the swiss rail operator is:
SBB CFF FFS which is an abbreviation of "Swiss Federal Railways" in those 3 languages

    Schweizerische Bundesbahnen-German
Chemins de fer fédéraux suisse - French
    Ferrovie Federali Svizzere - Italian

"Ferrovie Retiche" on the 4/4 II preview is Italian and it means Rhaetian Railway, it is also written in German on the other side of the loco.

Why German and Italian, but not French, I pretend to hear you ask? Because in Graubunden, the official languages are German and Italian (and Romansch). It's not one of the French-speaking cantons.

Watched the real life cab ride....it seemed somewhat...bland. Funny enough I was thinking the Clinchfield would be boring, watching it on Youtube and it looks amazing! I'm going to flip flop my opinions on these!

I think this is a good occasion to share some background on the route and Swiss culture. I visited Switzerland a number of times, but this may not be the case for most trainsim fans. It is worth understanding it a bit better and to understand the importance of railways in this country, especially in the southern regions like Graubunden where this line is located. It used to be a very isolated area and the railway network was essential to connect it to the rest of Switzerland and to make tourism possible.

So, it is not so bad to be alittle off topic here.

I know what you mean, it’s a very slow route, and I do wish they would have taken the Albums line, but: It’s still a very great route and I like it a lot, although the top speed is between 20 and 35 km/h hahaha

Lol I know exactly what you mean. That was my first DLC purchase and I regret it so much. It’s a nice route but so boring and there’s nothing to do.

Hopefully Rivet focus heavily on the variety that can be found on this line with the mixed trains, shunting and running around at the terminating stations.
They’ve chosen a locomotive instead of an unit which is a good start but I pray the yards are used regularly.

Obviously the infrastructure should be impressive and the road section, if done properly with plenty of adverse tram signals, might provide a challenge.

Am I right in thinking it's a single line up the mountain with passing places dotted along? If so it should create some nice red light stops hopefully.

It seemed to be mostly single track, there were 2 passing sidings as well as a few stations with sidings, a small yard in Chur, a stub siding near Arosta for freight, and a yard area in Arosta. The thing I found weird was that it mostly wasn't signaled except for the stations, and they seemed to be 2 aspect signals only so not a huge amount of variety. It still looks beautiful for scenery, no one can deny the Swiss Alps are beautiful, it just seems a bit too close to the LGV route with the limited amount to do.

Sorry off topic about languages...so because Switzerland is about the banking in Swiss French they have separate words for 60 70 80 and 90 instead of the standard french way of saying 60, 60+10, 4 20, 4 20+10.

Me too, it is exactly the same. WSR is beautiful but I got so bored playing it and it is the only dlc I regret getting. And it is a shame that most of their locos are bugged in scenario planner, because I do like these.

So I am a bit weary of Arosa in terms of track speed, I just hope that the visuals and additional features carry this enough to not get boring.
Also from what I heard one service will be around an hour, which is fine. WSR takes around 1 1/2 if memory serves me and that feels dragged unfortunately.

Don't forget to take into consideration it's a different type of railroad - narrow gauge, smaller loco and cars. Slow speeds might (and should) feel a lot different than on WSR. It is very different going 40 km/h on a standard gauge and 1m gauge.

    no, don’t get me wrong:
It’s a very nice route, and there are some changes in the speeds, but obly in the radius between 20-35 km/h. It’s one of my favourite route in the Ts and I’ve been waiting for it to come to the TSW for a long time, but in my opinion the Albula Linie is a bit more interesting, but in another way

At WSR there is a lot of shunting at the line ends, so not only dull driving. At WSR the ever changing grades makes driving more challenging that you might think.

For the Arosa line you definitely need to run around at the line ends. Especially in Chur the station can be fairly crowded with trains. Add to it, the waits on your way for trains in the other direction, dropping of or picking up a freight wagon occasionally and the steep grades and you get a nice route . This is not more boring than any passenger route. Later they may even add a bit more and definitely more interesting routes will come, but it is a local line and not a main line.
