I think it's likely, but no-one knows for sure. Sales happen quite frequently. Don't expect discounts to be better than in previous sales though.
I don't buy any DLC for this game if it is not on sale, it's a scam how expensive it is. Been waiting for the March Madness sale past couple weeks, it has started March 6th previous years. They might not be doing one this year.
I think you need to look up the definition of scam. You may not think the price is good value, but I don't think DTG are being dishonest in what they say you're getting for the money you pay
The DLC are high quality, but that does not justify the price of it. Locos especially, the amount of content you are getting is not what you'd expect from a product of that price.
Well that is an opinion you are perfectly entitled to. Can't say I have bought much at full price. Each person has to say whether they think it is worth it or not. It still isn't a scam though.
The price is whatever the market will bear. For those who choose to buy at full price, the price is right.
I don't think there's much wrong with the price tag of the products. That said, I buy most of my stuff during sales. But that's mainly because I'm just limited to a certain budget and making best use of sales gets me more content for the same amount of money. And perhaps discount-hunting turned out to be a bit of a sport as well :P
Some of the content dtg released don't seem worth $30. At $30 you can buy a 1 year EA Play subscription and get all of the recent triple A ea games for free (Need For Speed, Battlefield, UFC, Star Wars, FIFA, NHL, Madden etc)
Those are (mostly) the types of games that sell millions of copies, rather than thousands. I'm sure if DTG priced some new content at £3/€4/$5 everyone on here would buy it, but how many more copies would they sell?
The next Steam sale is usually around Easter. Pricing is always subjective depending how much you want the particular add on. However DTG are quite reasonable and pale into comparison what stuff will be costing for the new MSFS. A 737 cobbled together out of bits and pieces currently sells for £20. Aerosoft are about to launch a CRJ which isn’t going to leave much change out of £50, £70 if you want all the variants. And when PMDG hit the sim with their so called study level aircraft, people are already talking at a starting price of in excess £100! Way too expensive for my tastes.
[QUOTE = "ionutmineadaniel, publicación: 265709, miembro: 12984"] March Madness comienza este jueves [/ QUOTE] Are you sure?? PD: hopefully it will be like that!!
https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/railfan-tv-schedule-8th-march-–-14th-march.36760/ There are live video streams this weekend by the DTG team all themed on the March Madness Sales on Steam
Okay but what about this: EA has a net worth of nearly 37 BILLION USD. You think DTG is with a Rail Simulation game comparable?
Next Steam sale is March 25th according to steam db https://steamdb.info/sales/history/ Hopefully some news on March Madness tomorrow, but Steam normally also have an Easter sale. Easter this year is over the first weekend of April.
At $30 you can get Assetto Corsa Competizone, Team Sonic Racing, Sonic Generations and I can go on. It may not be fair to say those things but the point I was trying to make to the person I quoted is when you are charging $30 for a particular product, than the quality should meet that $30 price tag because not all the content dtg have released are sometimes low quality and don't meet that $30 price tag because dtg have shown that they can make good quality routes but have shown also to be very inconsistent at times making the price of said product not 100% justified. At $30 you can buy a brand new game
Oh I agree with you that sometimes the initial quality is something they should work to improve, and with Adam's team they are striving to do that both retrospectively and on new routes but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to charge what they feel they can get away with when they feel they can get away with it
Which Triple A game is just 30 Dollars? Also Assetto Corsa is 40 Euros which is 47 Dollars (Steam), as well as Team Sonic (Playstation) and Sonic Generations is from 2011. TSW is NOT a Triple A game, so you cannot expect Triple A quality as you don't pay the Triple A price.
I've managed to get acc at $29.99. Sonic Generations on Microsoft store is $19.99 and team sonic racing is $29.99 on the Xbox Store. I'm not expecting triple a quality but dtg have been very inconsistent with the quality of some of the content released sometimes making that $30 price tag not justified
But if you compare 'normal' price to sale-price i can tell you: Here you can get TSW 2 (with 3 routes and several locos) for 12 Euros which is 14 Dollars. Looks like a very good deal to me.
I wasn't talking about the base tsw2 game. I was mentioning dlcs. Also I don't live in germany nor do I as well as 2/3s of players play on pc
I am aware of that but they are not frequent on xbox and it's only for select products that came out a long time ago
As well as on Playstation. But this is not DTG's decision as they explained every now and then. It's Sony and Microsoft who give Sale-timeframes for publishers. DTG has to comply with it. They can't just decide by themselves when they do as sale.
