I’m considering buying TSW in the March Madness sale. Is NEC included in the game? I’m new to the game and it’s a useful way to get routes cheaply. I’m getting 4 routes at least for TSW2 for a two thirds of the price of one route at full price.
If you buy TSW 2020, you will get Sand Patch, LIRR, GWE, NTP and NEC for TSW2020. You will also get, for free, provided you have TSW2, the TSW2 ports of Sand Patch, LIRR, GWE and NTP- which makes TSW2020 a very nice bargain bundle for TSW2 considering how low the sale price is right now. Note, however, that while you can play NEC in TSW2020, it was NOT ported to TSW2 (and never will be).
You will not get NEC transfer over to TSW2 or any for any of it's separate loco add on's I am afraid to say.
I’m aware of it not coming across. I wanted to be sure though about it before getting it. Really I’m getting TSW just to play NEC in essence.
NEC is on sale at Steam. I'm not entirely sure you actually get it in Train Sim World 2020 base game? Why would it be sold as an add-on otherwise? I thought the now discontinued Train Sim World 1 included it in the base game.
They took out Rapid Transit and NEC I thought from the 2020 edition. https://store.steampowered.com/sub/377756/
You are correct. Rapid Transit and NEC are not included in the TSW2020 package, only the original TSW package (or as standalone DLC). Though it can no longer be purchased on Steam, you can still find keys floating around if you know where to look. Cheers
Thanks for your help! I’d thought it was included as well, especially as at first I couldn’t find it on Steam. Rapid Transit I will get straight for TSW2, as I bought the game a week ago and just getting started in all of this fun, after having watched YouTubers play and DTG on the livestreams. I’m only considering TSW 2020 for NEC really, although the extra routes it gives by buying it for TSW 2 is a good advantage especially with the March Madness sale currently on. Although even without it, the amount of routes you get for the standard price of one, that are in preserved collection, is also worth it!
