I don't own the route but if you're buying it through steam then it most likely has career scenarios. It should say so in the description. Edit: yes, the steam version only has standard scenarios. HOWEVER I would wait until Just Trains releases their new version of this route which will supersede it and include an extension to Reading. Plus the existing route is getting a major refresh to make it look more up-to-date graphically. You may not get a discount on the new route if you buy through steam, especially if they don't replace the one on steam. https://www.justtrains.net/in-development/south-western-expressways-reading
The Just Trains London to Aylesbury and Cornish Mainline routes on Steam only have standard scenarios. DTG always do career scenarios and most 3rd parties do too, but JT do seem to do standard only still.
From the Steam Store Page: DTG wouldn't bother changing JT standard scenarios to Career - too time intensive. pH
It says Standard Scenarios included: https://store.steampowered.com/app/...ressways_Bristol_Taunton__Exeter_Route_AddOn/ The manual only lists standard scenarios. I have it and will fire it up later to see if that's it. Answer- yes.
The Kyle Line: Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh Route Add-On have career scenarios and it is Just Trains which have made that route.
Your information is wrong. Look at the Just Trains page for the route https://www.justtrains.net/product/the-kyle-line-inverness-to-kyle-of-lochalsh it says 14 Standard and two Free Roam scenarios
https://store.steampowered.com/app/...Line_Inverness__Kyle_of_Lochalsh_Route_AddOn/ Included Scenarios The Kyle Line includes six engaging career scenarios featuring DMU passenger activities as well as two free roam scenarios: A day in the life of an Inverness Driver Part 1 A day in the life of an Inverness Driver Part 2 A day in the life of an Inverness Driver part 3 A day in the life of an Inverness driver Part 4 Kyle Line Photo Charter Learning the road to Kyle Free Roam Scenarios: Inverness Free Roam Kyle of Lochalsh Free Roam
And that is the version from STEAM UP13 mentioned "DTG always do career scenarios - JT do seem to do standard" In the case of the Kyle Line I think JT changed them for the Steam release
I said/implied that JT products released on Steam were standard. I don't have the Kyle Line so that would be the first case of a JT product on Steam having career scenarios that I've come across.
The scenarios in the Kyle line from Steam - in the JT version they were Timetable scenarios ie "standard" but having to keep to a timetable or get a penalty or "no tick". It would have been very easy to edit the scenarioproperties.xml file to make it a DTG Career scenario. IMO in the main, JT routes/locos released on steam would retain their standard scenarios. The Kyle Line is the exception that breaks the rule.
This is news to me. I already own South Western Expressways. Will I thus already own the line to Reading, or will it be a purchasable extension? EDIT: "South Western Expressways - Reading will be available to existing owners at a discounted price." There we go.
