Played the 09:49 DB6108 Asschafenburg-Gemunden Freight Service the one that has Double DB BR185s complete with SiFa AFB & PZB on. Here is my complete MSB Gameplay below in some cases the entire train starts to rollback even at full power had to use Sand in order to move forward from an Emergency stop the term used by the Deutsche Bahn Bombardier Traxx BR 185 & BR146 audio warning system Zwansbremsung from both SiFa and PZB. Are there players in the community that is Familiar with German Train Safety Systems and Signalling regardless of the platform they use to play Train Sim World 2020 & Train Sim World 2? On the Xbox One Series, X & S B button is used to acknowledge both PZB & Sifa. When both train safety systems are on you get the Zugbeeinflussung message from the train audio warning system. Speaking of AFB is there a way for me to properly stop the train within the Green Zone for the stop marker at the Freight Siding. In the case of Dosto & DB Br 146.2 the eastern end of the platforms is playing towards Gemunden. The western end of the platforms towards Aschaffenburg. PZB Zwangsbremsung occurs at 19:18 in the Video.

You do not use the AFB for stopping. Only use the AFB to limit the speed of the train. If you need to stop precisely in front of a signal or at a platform always use the train brake.

Thanks for the tip then. In this case, should I deactivate AFB before approaching Gemünden Siding 104 where I'm supposed to end this freight train service? Also in real life do freight trains hauled by DB BR 185s ever use AFB or not? That also apply to the Passenger Version DB BR146 or not? I'll post a related post on this about the Dosto PZB.

Just leave the AFB at the track speed setting. Just make sure to cut the power before braking.
If and how the AFB is used on real trains depends on the situation and the attitude of the driver. But since freight trains mostly drive at 100km/h they use the AFB to limit the train at that speed. If you have a section of track where there are many speed changes a driver might rather drive manually.
When shunting you are not allowed to use the AFB.

Well, braking automatically kills the throttle anyway. You can't drive it like an American loco, with brake and throttle on simultaneously!

You mean the ACS-64 found on NEC New York Area MP15DC F40PH & MPI 36 Penninsula Commute. Train Sim 21 NJ Transit ALP-45DP & GP40. For me, German Locomotives like DB BR185 & 146.2 are a learning curve for me to play Since I'm used to present-day American & UK Trains they're the following HST GWE & LIRR M7.

    1:38, wrong! :D
    1) Always select the PZB mode (U,M,O) then 2) switch on the PZB. Never the opposite.
You selected the mode to U (55) but you drove with the PZB set to M (70). M because it is the default position on BR 185.

Thanks for the advice then do you want me to set the mode first then drive the BR185 with the proper PZB mode. Before playing the DB BR185 I was used to its Passenger version the DB BR146 without the PZB mode on Only Sifa On. Will the same procedure work for the Passenger DB BR146.2?

On any German train, the PZB mode setting at the time the PZB is turned on stays in effect, it doesn't matter what you turn the selector to afterwards. To change modes, make sure the PZB switch/fuse is off first, then set the selector, then turn PZB (back) on.

All passenger services in game, such as the 146, automatically have Mode O pre-set; there's never a need to change it. All freight consists are pre-set to Mode M; that's fine for most in-game services. Mode U is for very heavy freight trains (the real calculation is very complicated, but for game purposes 1600 tons train weight is a decent enough dividing line).

Keep in mind that whatever the PZB mode, loaded freight cars in Germany are restricted to 100 km/h maximum speed. This applies even under Mode M, which notionally allows up to 120 (that's actually only for unloaded class "s" cars).

Well said and speaking of the DB86108 Aschaffenburg 09:49 it's a heavy freight train. Reason for this it has two DB BR185s complete with Tanker Wagons Laaers 560 and Haabiins & Shimms U-708 wagons for DB86108. If I did it the proper method will my max speed be bellow 100 km/h or still 100 km/h using PZB Mode U with AFB?

As far as i know you aren't allowed to use AFB with tanker wagons (fluids move more complicated for the computer).
Also for the realism, take a look at what is behind the loco and see if the front panthograph needs to be used (flammable goods or goods which can be damaged by sparks from panthograph (cars for example))

BR146 default mode is 85 (O). Problem happen if for example you use the BR182 (Taurus or ES64 U2) for a freight service, 'cause, BR182 has the PZB default mode set to 85 like the BR146 (set by default for passenger services).

So, in other words, always remember to switch off/on the PZB after changed the mode.
The procedure its the same for all German trains.

In your video above you drove with the PZB 70 (M) also if your idea it was to drive with the PZB 55 (U).

That's a Mode U train, which by definition is limited to 100 km/h. AFB has nothing to do with maximum speeds; use it or not as you choose, but the speed limits are always the same.

Now, whether DB86108 can actually get up to 100- well, that's a matter of physics, not regulation.

    ----------------------------------------
Just as an addendum: light locomotives and consists of nothing but locomotives fall under Class O. There are a couple of services/scenarios when you are moving a string of four 185s/143s without wagons, so that is an occasion where you would change the PZB mode to O manually. (if you were wondering, the PZB mode selector on the 143 is back in the passageway by the startup controls) Note though that the 185 is still limited to Vmax 140 and the 143 to 120, regardless of mode.

First things first I should probably look at my consist then mode adjust PZB for the modes proper for the freight train that I'm going to be using. This is actually my second time operating a German freight train in game with proper train safety systems on.

Thanks for the advice and speaking of DB BR182 OBB 1016,1116 & 220 mph 350 km/h capable 1216 where is the PZB switch on them just in case if I need the DB BR182 to do Main Spessart Bahn freight provided I own Rapid Transit then purchased DB BR182. That one is the zacns tanker train DB86109 09:59 Asschafenburg it's the train that I overtook in the video. Since DB86109 can spawn in with either DB BR182 & DB BR185
