Could someone tell me what the train I saw some years ago was please?
It was one unit and seemed to share body panels with a Leyland National bus,
It looked like a bus on rails.
I spent the last 30 years as a lorry driver going all over the country
so don't now where exactly I saw it

Was it perhaps the shuttle that runs between Stourbridge Town and Stourbridge Junction?

The Pacer series (Classes 140-144) were literally built out of components of Leyland National buses. Right down to the two axles and no bogies.

Thanks boys, it was a Pacer.
Spent a lot of time looking at Leyland Nationals so recognised the panels and windows.
I was a bus driver for 14 years before driving lorries.

The Pacers were all two or three car units. The prototypes on the other hand were single units. The second can be seen in this video from days of yore about six minutes in:

I'm sure I've seen footage of the first prototype, which is even more obviously a 'bus on railway wheel sets, in preservation but my brief search has not turned that up.
