How many of you actually upload the scenarios you create to the workshop? Fancy sharing them with the rest of us? Post a link to your best work please.
I don't have a link yet, but my dream is to launch scenarios in the workshop, but as I'm a very perfectionist, it will take a while.
Hi all, I'll start you off with these. I only recently started to have a go at creating scenarios after a request on another thread for someone to make a scenario for the Class 89 "Badger" as there was none on the workshop. Well this started the grey matter going and now I am on a roll. Class 89 Thunder Badger 1 To The Rescue. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2412891893 Class 89 Badger - On Time Alteration https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2415187970 A non-reskin version is also available https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2415287296 A Right Royal Treat https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2400140758 And just published this afternoon. DB 70s Nostalgia on the Wutachtalbahn https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2435177933 I have had great fun creating these scenarios and would love it if any of you could give them a whirl and let me know what you think. Cheers
Class 89 Thunder Badger 1 To The Rescue. I notice the set has got turned at some point as the loco is normally at the North End Class 89 Badger - On Time Alteration You can not couple the 89 to the Mk4 FO Coach as it has no buffers and No DVT means No Guard as that is where he sits I thought we had had a conversation about that?
Yes we did, and it has been noted for future ventures. Sadly as far as I am aware once a scenario is published you can't edit it. I would have to go through altering, re-publishing, uploading all the images etc. just for a minor issue that most players won't even be aware of.
Here's a few I was personally particularly pleased with: Thunderbird Duties - Class 86 on DPS Edinburgh - Glasgow https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=802745231 Camping Out - Class 47 on Great Western Main Line https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=452591557 Brancing Off - Class 150 on GEML https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=380899938 Trainspotting at Darlington: 1940 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=765217879 (note these are relatively old and may use outdated/obsolete packs, also while they worked when they were uploaded, I cannot guarantee they work now)
I rarely upload any. I just make them for myself. Here's the last one I uploaded anywhere. https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/2c47-preston-to-barrow-in-furness/ I've kept the requirements as minimal as possible, especially the AP stuff, to keep a good balance between not requiring a second mortgage and not looking like hot garbage either. This is the dumbed down version... the one for myself used all AP stuff, but is essentially the same scenario. AI is true to time table for that day... except the limping 66... I just put that in to throw a spanner into the works and make it a bit more "yellowy". I may upload my others, but uploading to ATS is a royal pain in the backside, and I can't upload them to the workshop due to the DLC requirements. I'll get around to it one day.
I upload all of my scenarios to ATS. Regarding quality checked I believe it is like this: Freeware scenarios These scenarios are checked for file pathing and also any missing requirements. I don't think they test the scenarios as this would take forever to do. Subscription scenarios These scenarios are tested I think (I've only ever done freeware so not been through this process). Payware scenarios These scenarios are fully tested for errors, file pathing and any missing requirements. Submission process varies depending on what you upload your scenarios as. If you upload freeware it can take a few hours to a couple of days (depends when an admin is in to accept the scenario). Payware obviously takes longer (I think about a week or so).
Thanks, I am presuming that, but I couldn't see any "submit a scenario" option. Maybe it's my aging eyes, but sometimes the site is hard to read with great big titles, but tiny text, so maybe I missed it.
On the drop down menu at the top on the right side it says my uploads (or it might say log in if you not already logged on). Click that and scroll down, there it should say 'Dashboard' 'Downloads' 'Add Download' etc. You click 'Add Download' and you can put your scenario in the boxes that are shown. Once done press 'Submit Scenario' at the bottom and it should come up with a green tick. Then you wait for it to be uploaded.
