Hi all, as GWE Is based in 2016, i have found [And one of my personal Favourite looking trains] The Class 180 Adelante, Overview As theses units has now been displaced to Grand Central, these units did operated the Cotswold Lines and also Operated from London Paddington-Gloucester, Cheltenham Spa and Oxford Liveries As the work done on 395012 & 395025 as a Special liveried Train for the Adelante they have got a special livery one. Normal Livery Special Livery [I Cannot find the GWR Special livery on my SD Cards, but i have found a video with the livery] Class 180 unveiled at Old Oak Common - YouTube More information on the Class 180 Adelante
If DTG get the performance improvements in the sim it would be great to see an extra layer on the GWE timetable with 180s
These should be done in a pack with the Class 165 and perhaps the branch lines too. So many possibilities if this were to be done. Pretty please DTG.
When they weren't breaking down, the 180's were actually quite useful traction particularly for routes (such as Cotswold Line off peak) where a 2+8 HST was a bit too much capacity. Come to think of it, Oxford to Worcester as suggested earlier in another thread, would be an ideal route to complement the traction. (See, I can like modernish stuff... ).
I would certainly like to see this added to GWE and think it would make a great loco add on for the route. the special livery certainly would be good to find especially if it’s like the 395012 and 395025
