Hi everyone, I would love for tsw2 to come to Android and iOS . I’m unsure wheather dtg are able to put their game on the App Store or not , but I would really enjoy if they did
Well xbox users can already do that but that's by streaming but to have the game being played directly from the phone your going to see allot go away aesthetics wise. The game can just about run on some of the last gen consoles and I'm not sure phones are still quite ready for that
I realize Smartphones are powerful, but they're not that powerful yet, TSW struggles on last gen consoles, lord knows how a mobile version would do. You'd be better off porting TS Classic and some of the older routes, or even developing a train sim for just for mobile. With that a said getting it on a streaming service would probably be doable.
Good luck with trying to put a 100GB and more collection on a Smartphone. Or shouldnt the DLC be included? And it would run very poorly, TSW aint something for potatoes, which even the newest Smartphone is compared to a PC or even console
That would be really cool but it's impossible either Train Simulator but only for iPads or Android tablets
The first thing I would say is, the easier thing is first to get Train Simulator to Android and IOS and then if it workes well then I woe try TSW
Yes there are strong phones but the cost is too expensive and you can buy an iPad for 400 € even has 60 fps
I dont think a Mobile Port for TSW 2 is ever gonna happen, i mean too many GBs, too weak for performance unless you make like a mini computer
also a new ipads specs are way below the minimum specs for a pc also not many phones have a graphics card which is an important part of playing a game like TSW.
TSW would never work on phones unless its incredibly optimised, the newest phones are about as good as a low end laptop which from my experience doesnt work well
they may run on the same game engine but the level of complexity simugraph is and the level of detail the unreal engine provides in aesthetics' means you need something good to run it just to give you a comparison here are the minimum requirements for pc and recommended for the game on PC. minimum: Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X @ 3.7 GHz Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 270 with 2 GB VRAM or more (AMD Max Supported Driver 20.4.2) DirectX: Version 10 Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 20 GB available space recommended: Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 @ 3.6 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.8 GHz Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 480 with 4 GB VRAM or more (AMD Max Supported Driver 20.4.2) DirectX: Version 10 Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 20 GB available space Now here are the specs for the most up to date version of the ipad pro and ipad ipad: A12 chip 6-core processor (2x Performance cores + 4x Efficiency cores) Apple Designed 4-core GPU ipad pro: A12Z chip 1.59 GHz frequency Boost up to 2.49 GHz Eight CPU cores: four high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores Eight GPU cores 7-nanometer manufacturing process Variant of 2018's A12 Bionic chip
It's just too big. Civilization 6 was ported to Android but unless you have a top-of-the-range phone from one of the 5 or 6 biggest manufacturers, you won't get it to run. And that's significantly less performance-intensive than TSW.
It would have to be a very cut down version. When N3V put Trainz on Android and iPad it was based on their original UTC from 2003 or thereabouts and it showed. I don’t think it sold that well either - my experience of tablet games is that people want to download for free then choose whether or not to buy in game currency to speed their levelling. The problem there is that games like Hay Day or Clash Of Clans want outrageous amounts of money, up to £99, to buy diamonds etc., so no wonder they get a bad rep at times.
Why is this a bad idea ? I understand that phones may not be able to handle tsw at the moment , but in the future they might
I support your idea but imagine DTG would make a new game just for mobile, that would give us some new experience and it would be different than the other games, because then it's optimised to phones and tablets so that the game can run well and then TSW2 would also stay es an Special Game for Consoles and pc
Also it may be a bit of a gamble dtg would need to invest in getting people with experience on phone games etc and with the current climate economically I don't see them taking that chance for a while like maybe another 2 or 3 years
Actually it was based on the 2009/2010/12 engine, so that was actually up to date in the respect. But it did use the lower poly UTC era assets in place of newer higher detailed versions from the PC versions, so you're half right.
