Hi guys, I'd love to be able to appreciate the beauty of this route, however the camera options become limited to the cab when any part of the consist is inside a tunnel. This is very frustrating when pulling dozens of waggons, as it leaves the player without any external camera views for extended periods throughout a run. It's not even possible to switch to the left / right cab "window" views. Additionally, the left / right arrow keys do not cycle through the cab instruments when any part of the consist is inside a tunnel. I hope this will be looked into, as I'd love to be able to appreciate more of this route - clearly a great deal of love has been poured into it. Thank you!
Didn't they say on the stream that they would actually not lock the outside view in tunnels? Did I misunderstand that? :/
Yes, that was also my understanding. I recall it was mentioned by Matt in one of the Clinchfield streams - possibly the first. Long consists moving at slow speed through tunnels = a long time with zero external camera control.
This came up in another thread in the PlayStation forum because it did work for Matt during the first preview. Natalie responded and is looking into this.
This was my understanding as well. Many and/or long tunnels, and slow speeds, makes for a lot of frustration as far as the camera goes. This is definitely a bit of a bummer. Not what I wanted to hear just before hitting the buy button.
Wasn't this supposed to be the new feature coming with Clinchfield? Pretty sure it worked in the preview video.
