Oooh so we can paint the pilot....good to know. So from what I see here it looks like the number boards are blank?

Someone should make a VIA rail livery
Wish I could but I don't have CRR yet and my livery editor still doesn't work

Also...this is on the way because I drove it.

    2021-04-08_04-51-37.jpg

So like with the 66 I'll let most people do the obvious ones, I'm going to focus mostly on really weird lines that people may not be aware of as well as foreign units in Mexico, Canada, and Australia.

Game crashes because it hates us. That's the only logical answer I can think of. Think the number boards on the F7 can be painted? Going to drive the map first and see it, then paint stuff later tonight.

So back in the day I used to doodle train paint schemes on this little program called ms_paint. I used a website to get locomotive blanks to paint.

Here for your enjoyment, a website last updated in 2002! This is their section on how to design f unit paint schemes based on the official emd designs.

So anyone else laughing at how this whole line looks like California and not even remotely close to West Virginia/ Kentucky/Tennessee?

Here’s a tip for everyone here

if you use the gradient square turn it upside down and colour it black or brown and stretch it on the bottom of something, you can get a weathering affect

No. I live in Virginia, and it's pretty darn close. Heck, they even added dogwood trees. Dogwoods! Only problem with the forests is there isn't enough underbrush and shrub growth, but DTH have never really done that.

(I've also lived in California- looks nothing like Clinchfield!)

I live in Ohio but I’ve been to that area and can confirm it’s accurate. I totally expected worse but this route has better scenery than most others. So, quick question, if you paint a train does it replace all units or just some?

I'm in Indiana....this isn't what April looks like. Just saying the over use of pine trees and that brown grass texture is so off. This should be filled with flowering trees and the grass needs to be more green. The weird thing is when I watched them play it on train sim during spring the colors were way closer. Now the bottom photos are Pennsylvania which is a bit different climate wise but still same mountain chain and you can see how different spring actually is.

Anyways at least we have a great new train to paint. I'll try the other seasons and see if they look any better, but no this is wrong.

Depends which end of spring- early March or late May?

(I have noticed that TSW's day and year cycle seem to be British- behave according to their much higher latitude)

Due to Layer Limit I have had to just project parts of the design. Due to this, on one side of the train, things are out of place. There is nothing I can do. Logos are correct however.
Now, in its finished state. The Inter7City. IMG_20210409_170540.png IMG_20210409_170611.png

...another livery design from Northlander. It was a canadian passenger train, pulled by an F7. A found a picture of it in one of my railroad books and I like the color scheme. Should now be enough liveries, time to explore the new route! ;)

yesterday I was heading down the 99 (a highway in california) and I passed what I am guessing is a cement plant. it had a GP or SD something parked there in a white livery with a red or orange stripe across it (too dark to tell, it was about 10 PM). does anyone know of a railroad with a livery like that?

What city? There are a few private owned locos along 99, (I live in the valley and could possibly tell you what it is)

I thought this line was Eastern Kentucky.
Kentucky isn't all pine trees, brown grass and barren hills. Now I did set it to Fall Clear and it looked like this.
    a6b9ad20-28d0-4b8e-81aa-201486281a24.jpeg

Climate change must be a massive problem from coal because this isn't fall, it's spring. Yeah this part looks a bit more correct, but the northern part of the line is totally like Tehachapi.

If its white with a red stripe, it might be WRIX 201, an SD38AC thats currently under lease to Foster Farms in Traver, CA.

The SD38 and original SD40 are pretty much identical on the outside, except for the roof fans
