More Active Radio

    It would be good if we can ask the dispacher the speed limit, next signal etc and he/she inform or warn us about the traffic, limits, signals, weather forecasts

    Why should a train driver ask a dispatcher about speed limits and signals? If the train driver cant read the signs or signals he maybe should better not drive a train? ;)

    That's what I thought when I read the OP; but I wasn't sure even though it didn't make much sense to me.

    There are rare case where a engineer would get speed limits over the radio, but these would where there is a issue that was not there before. Such as emergency track repairs or there is a situation where the train would need to slow down for safety issues.
