Rules: - Screenshot should be in someway (can be very tenuous) linked to a theme. Otherwise anything goes. - You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. - Entries to be submitted by 9pm Friday (GMT). - Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). - The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). This week's theme is A Bit of Blue and will be judged by Craigie-C.
A Bit of Blue x 4 on the Wycombe Branch Line. (Route & Scenario available on the Workshop) 1. - Class 121 "Bubble Car" with a BR Blue Reskin 2. - Class 31 3. - Class 03 4. = Am I allowed to include the Sky? Well it is blue - ish LOL
A Bit of Blue anything and any shade of. I thought it would offer a wide variety of interpretations. This comp is not as rigid and serious as the official comp.
All down to personal interpretation. Personally I quite enjoy tenuous links. As long as you can justify your screen shot being somehow 'a bit of blue' then you'll be fine. Being honest people are very unlikely to challenge anything.
Wondered if you would spot it? LOL, It most certainly is, and might I say most enjoyable. I do admit I did have the cheek to swap out the 73 for the MKS super duper reskin version but I know you can't upload that version to the worshop, so in answer to your question it is a big YES.
50047 "Swiftsure". Armstrong Powerhouse Class 50. Armstrong Powerhouse Mk2e coaches with Mk2b brake van. Route: Riviera Line.
Glad you enjoyed it (it was just something I quickly threw together). The other day I dramatically decided to delete all my workshop items from the past eight or so years as many of them were terrible. Slowly making and publishing new and better ones now. That 50 looks incredible.
********************* DO NOT INCLUDE IN COMP, JUST GUTTED I HAVE BEEN OUTDONE LOL ************** You beat me to it, LOL and granted the AP50 is a stunning piece of kit I personally went for the AP MK2 b coach set throughout but have to admit I give way to your shot, absolutely perfect.
Ok, seems everyone is doing the fabulous class 50. Let me try the other blue AP engine, the class 40.
A class 86 at Stafford. Armstrong Powerhouse Class 86 Enhancement Pack. Armstrong Powerhouse Track Enhancement Pack Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack Route: WCML Trent Valley.
Figured I'd throw my hat in the ring for one of these unofficial contests this week. Here, we see a C&O passenger train, headed up by a pair of E8 units rolling through the Waterton Station, past the nearby yard and roundhouse for the RW&A. Route Used: RWA Lakeside Locomotive Used: C&O EMD E8
Final entry for the week: A new AL6 locomotive heads the Royal Scot as it passes through Wigan in 1966. Armstrong Powerhouse Class 86 Enhancement Pack (With Vulcan Production's Class 86 Early Liveries & Headcode Blinds pack) Armstrong Powerhouse Mk1 Coach Pack Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack Armstrong PowerHouse Track Enhancement Pack ReShade Faded colour print shader Route: South Lancashire and North Cheshire - BR Blue.
Why go for a "Bit of Blue" when you can have a facefull of it. LOL Class 55 Deltic DP-1 Prototype on the Settle - Carlisle. (This gave me a lot of hassle in the More Madness sale so might as well use it)
A pair of Montana Rail Link SD70ACe's lead a manifest train. (This is such an old photo I have no clue where it was taken from)
Sorry, only just saw this... didn't get a notification for some reason. It's cool, yes.. it's a ReShade plug in, so I can actually play the game looking like that... at 12fps LOL. It's a bit over the top, but interesting.
THATS IT ... Deadline has arrived. Thanks to everybody that contributed, there have been some terrific shots to chose from. Must say the quality of submissions is growing by the week, chosing a winner has not been easy but - I Announce in my unbiased opinion, adjudication head in fitted and working order:- The results for Unofficial Screen Comp Week 5 are in reverse order:- In 3rd place:- cscarpenter Just for the full on Blue. In 2nd Place runner up Blacknred81:- Terrific composition and good interpretation of theme AND THE WINNER IN JOINT FIRST PLACE:- POOKEYHEAD - Congratulations. Excellent screenshot with superb filters, looks just like a 1960s postcard & Pookeyhead for the perfect Class 50 shot LOL Congratulations Pookeyhead you now have the honour of being next weeks Judge & Jury and chosing the theme for next weeks comp.
Congrats on the win Pookeyhead, and if I can't have the winning entry then it's a close second to have something I made for the sim front and centre in the winning entry. Really enjoyed doing the 86s tbf, even if the cast numbers were an absolute pig.
Thanks Mr C A great livery for a great loco. Right. Well then... what shall we have for the next week's theme? "Seeing Red" You can interpret it as you wish - no link too tenuous... so long as it exists.
Congrats mr Pookeyhead well deserved, personally I voted for your AP86 cab shot. can't believe it didn't make the top 3 LOL
