I feel it could be that long awaited passenger overhaul. I will most likely be wrong but... Edit: They could also do what they did with TSW 2020, where they released put some routes in a bundle for the standard edition and then do a deluxe edition where they put in a route that is to be released. Basically what they did with Peninsular Corridor.
I image you are referring to the railfan stream. Mind explaining a bit more? Unfortunately I can't watch it today
The next TSW release will be called TSW2 - Rush Hour and will focus on high density maybe adverse signal running, so probably S-Bahns ect. there will be several included routes, meaning there will be an option to buy for new users.
Hi, I think 2 of the routes will be Cathcart Circle and ECW. This would explain the "no screen shots" of Cathcart in the RailFest Stream. Mike.
Yes, Train SIm World 2: Rush Hour is the August update (so it's not called TSW3) Everything from the stream segment is in this article, also includes screenshots of Cane Creek, Hamburg - Lübeck and the BR101: https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/new-journeys
HMA Layers maybe (route included for new users in a bundle), maybe next gen ready too? other things could be passengers and toilets
I will make a wild guess - TSW2 RH will come with Cathcart, NEC (Amtrak+NJT) and... let's say... something through the heart of Berlin
I think that as part of 'Rush Hour' it would probably include an American passenger route as that is very highly requested and the last one they did was for TSW2020
would like to see more passengers on all routes not just a select few. Sounds like need a next gen console now
The annual update is not usually until august , so it is good that we are seeing rush hour so far in advance
The sceptic in me thinks, after the debacle that was the transition from TSW 2020 to TSW 2, the arrival of TSW RH isn't going to be as simple as a new core version with new features. Is it going to be a "new" game again? Will all current and future DLC continue to work with TSW 2 or require the purchase of TSW RH to run any future DLC? Past experience shows how confusing DTG can make things.
From everything I've read, it's less the transition between TSW2020 to TSW2 and more like the transition between TS2020 and TS2021 - ie they provide a core game update for free and if you want to spend a bit of money, you can buy the route bundle that new players would get.
Rush Hour will be a paid route bundle. The core update will be free, (but probably both release at the same time ->August)
I think this will be a dispatcher update that'll allow DTG to make a much busier timetable mode. Hopefully this will mean that the Bakerloo timetable will get that expansion and console users can finally get their HMA layers. If it means more safety system action, I'm all for it At a push, we might see refurbished passengers? I would've thought that would've been hinted at on the roadmap first in a similar manner to to the Steam Locomotives update.
They've already said that the Bakerloo Line won't get increased traffic until they improve on the dispatcher. And that hasn't happened yet. Why do people keep making speculations about actual game updates and such, when Sam has already said that Rush Hour is just the catchy name of the next route bundle? I wouldn't expect anything more of it, until maybe the new info on the 4th of May says otherwise. Until then, it's safe to assume that it's just going to be a new bounde of routes and nothing else. Of course there is nothing wrong with that in my opinion, I just wonder why they keep making these catchy titles when they know very well that people are going to get way too excited, just tp then get disappointed.
Matt announced in the stream last night that there would be more passengers at busier times, more adverse signals etc, so this strongly hints that changes to the passenger system and maybe the dispatcher are incoming.
Because new route bundles are launched with new core updates, and we have a core update on the roadmap, so it ain't wild speculation by any means. Even if Rush Hour and the Core update are technically separate they're almost certainly gonna launch together if the past decade is anything to go by.
Well it's true that what Matt has said on the stream seems to suggest more, but I wonder why Sam has said what he did earlier then. Well I guess I am somewhat hopefull, if it really ends up being a core game improvement, then that would be amazing. But I'm trying to moderate my hype for now. But if it really ends up being a proper rush hour update, then LIRR better gets a fixed ATC and more traffic, otherwise I'm going to be really sad ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)
DTG Protagonist I was just pinnged in a discord post on a server I am in (personal server with news from TSC) saying Rush Hour is payed for and will have routes included, but the core update will be free and will the routes included be exclusive, separate entierley or is rush hour a totally new game?
Given the Rush Hour theme, I have a decent suspicion that the corresponding summer core update will include a new, more capable dispatcher
This is what I'm expecting to happen. I think we will get for free: Upgrade to a more up to date Unreal Engine version. Core tech that allows more trains in the timetable. Core tech that allows the train AI drivers to be less perfect and cause delays, so the timetable does not feel the same each time we run a service. Maybe we will also get the option to have track with a lower speed limit due to repairs, etc ... TSW2: Rush Hour will include 2 or 3 previously released DLCs, and maybe 1 new unreleased DLC. Everything that is included with TSW2: Rush Hour will use the new features, but all other previously released DLC will need to wait to include the new features until the "Preserved Crew" (aka Adam's gang ) has time to do it. Customers that already had any of the DLCs included in TSW2: Rush Hour will have them updated for free, but will need to pay for the 1 new route if they want it. Purchase of the new route will be optional.
Well it would be amazing if they managed to improve it, that's for sure. Could mean more passengers for Bakerloo, also a new dispatcher would probably fix the silly thing where you have to close your doors first to get a green signal. And who knows, a new dispatcher might even gave them to chance to fix the ATC on the LIRR and give that route more traffic as well. Would be definitely nice, one can hope I suppose. We will see what the update includes.
Same and the ones they can do are Queens Boulevard E,F,M & R Trains The 7 train Flush and lastly BMT Nassau Street Line via Williamsburg Bridge those have Express services during Rush Hour. However Queens Blvd Line has the pre covid-19 24/7 F train Express towards 179th Street since E train Late Night Local.
Hopefully more Underground... preferably Sub-Surface, and if so hopefully set in 2014. With C, D, and S Stocks all running.
