Hi all, I would like to see the Class 323 come into Train Simulator 2018, as it operates local services where live (Birmingham) and it also does some Northern services. The Class 323's were built from January 1992 to September 1995, with 43 3-car units were built for inner-suburban services in an around Birmingham and Manchester. London Midland Class 323 at Birmingham New Street: Northern Class 323 at Manchester Piccadilly: In West Midlands Trains service, they have undergone works attention, including CCTV being fitted. They have also had new flooring, new harder seating and currently new external door controls. In 2014, they were equipped with DC Airco Cab Air Cooling equipment. The 323's in West Midland Trains service are due to be displaced in 2020 by the CAF Civity, however no TOPS for these units has been assigned. In Northern service, they received 20 reliability improvement modifications, replacement of cab desk panels and new LED lighting for the front of the trains. A C4 + C6 overhaul was also done, including attention to underframe equipment, passenger doors, couplers and roof equipment as well as an internal refresh which includes replacement of the saloon floor boards and floor covering. Having these units come into Train Simulator would be a great addition, especially when paired with a Birmingham route which hopefully is being looked into. Thanks for reading, Shane.
If they do, I'd be able to do 'complete' screenshots at Crewe. 323's are the only missing train and I have to use Northern's 319's instead.
To me the only problem with the 323 is the lack of a DTG Route to run the train. All the DLC that has been released comes with 3 or 4 scenarios but there is nothing from DTG that covers where the 323's run - which is a shame because they are a good unit. Also they were not just in the colours shown above. The Longsight 323's were in GMPTE, North Western Trains and First North Western before becoming Northern Trains
Technically not true. 323's can be seen at Crewe. But you're correct in saying there's no route provided by DTG where they can run properly.
With the release of the XC route, you can do the run from Birmingham New Street to Redditch. What we need is DTG to recreated the Birmingham New Street to London Euston line, now that'll be amazing!
What i would like to see in a Class 323 pack Featured Liveries: Regional Railways, GMPTE, Centro, London Midland, First North Western (Both Original and Barbie Liveries), Northern Rail, Ex-London Midland West Midlands Trains, West Midlands Trains and also throw in WYPTE red livery for a added bonus. Good Sounds and physics. Passenger View (IMO i would love Armstrong Powerhouse to do it as their content is top notch but feel free to disagree)
I really hope the 323 does get made, there's plenty of routes both freeware and payware it could be used on and fill a gap in Ai services too
DTG don't release Add-ons for other peoples routes - If there was a DTG made route you could use the Class 323 then it might get built but unlikely before. Peter
I think, if the 323 gets released, it'll be included in the route, Manchester to Birmingham, alongside maybe a Class 66 (if that's the freight loco used there, I don't know).
Which Manchester - Birmingham route is this? Something new from DTG? I suspect if the route was made the Cross Country 220 would be the likely traction But given the amount of lines needed to be made to make it look right I very much doubt it would see the light of day. Peter
Extravis Games are now working on a Class 323 along with the Birmingham Cross City line for Train Simulator
It isn't like they're doing it right now from all I know, I just said that I think if the 323 gets made, It'll be included in the route. I'm thinking the one that was made for OpenBVE, which also included the Class 323.
As 323's are one of my favourite EMUs, it'll be awesome driving them in the Birmingham area and Manchester
You can only drive them on lines which exist in TS2019 Only a short section between Manchester & Trafford Park and some short sections in the Birmingham area.
"V1.0 includes the line branch from Redditch to Barnt Green along with the main line as far as Longbridge." About 7 and a half miles. - 15 mins with two intermediate stops
