The MerseyRail Northern line is a busy commuter corridor through the heart of Liverpool and Merseyside. The route has 2 Rolling stock, the Classes 507 & 508. The route has 36 Stations, with 2 branches. The service pattern is as follows: (Dec '19 Timetable, Monday - Friday) 4tph Southport - Hunts Cross 4tph Ormskirk - Liverpool Central 4tph Kirkby - Liverpool Central Leaving the core section between Liverpool Central & Sandhills with 12tph Route Map: Classes 507 & 508 Important Facts: 36 Stations 2 Branches (I can't find the length) 12tph (more on that above)
My sources say the route length is around ~42 Miles. I don't know if I believe that but I'll go with it. So 42 Miles, even if it proves to be lower it's still in TSWs Capability.
I’d rather have the Wirral line as I live there, but I’d buy this without hesitation. Perhaps the Wirral line could be an extension later on.
I mean the entire MerseyRail network is 75 miles so maybe sometime soon there could be a chance of the entire network.
Excellent idea and for the two trains Class 507 & 508 both can be layered onto South East high speed if you want the years 2004-2010. Even better why not add in Class 777 BEMU because there are plans for Merseyrail extensions towards Wigan & Preston.
