On the old maroon class 52 with classic controls you could easily turn on the safety systems next to the drivers seat by changing the internal view. But with immersion controls, and if you have no keyboard, how can they be switched on?
I have the blue 52 now on GWE but cannot shift into the correct position in the cab to catch the button prompts

Switch to classic controls and select internal camera and then select AWS.

Crouch. Walk over to the left side of the cab. It should be accessible like that.

Went there the other week, one of the best museums I’ve had the pleasure of visiting.

I had my first drive with this loco yesterday.

I found the AWS levers OK (after a while :) ), but I have 2 other questions:
    1. I did not find a cab light switch. As my service was an early morning one, it was hard looking around in the dark. Is there no cablight in the 52?
    2. I turned on the DSD and when the alarm went of, I pushed the circle button, but it did not register and thus the ermergency brakes came on. Is this a known bug for this loco?

the cab light switch is on the back wall behind the secondmans seat iirc.
As for the DSD, I'm not sure as I've not driven either of the class 52s with safety systems on (I also don't own the BR blue 52 from DLGW).

I do. DSD can be turned on, but weirdly you can't acknowledge it, resulting in emergency braking, it's just broken

In terms of 2 I experienced it. maybe it's good idea to leave it off.
