OK so I downloaded the Diesel Legends of the Great Western DLC yesterday just to have a look. Gotta say I'm a little disappointed with DTG, considering its meant to be set in the 70s but its just modern day with 52s, 45s, 47s and 101s replacing 66s, HSTs and 166s. Really quite lazy. Anyway, I saw that we can now make custom liveries for the Class 101 (yay!) so I went and made a Regional Railways livery. Now, with every other custom livery I've made, regardless of the unit, I've been able to use them on ANY route that I have installed. I've run 101s on East Coast, WSR, Isle of Wight ect. But for some reason I can't run my custom 101 on anything EXCEPT the LOTGW routes. Is there a way to use it on other routes like Northern Trans Pennine or Tees Valley Lines that have 101s, or is it locked to LOTGW only?
The one you get in that pack is a different 101 to the 101 from TVL & NTP, so the custom livery won’t apply to those ones.
Well that makes zero sense DTG, but thanks for telling me man. I'll assume then that this applies to all other locos and rolling stock you can customise from LOTGW?
Yeah everything in the pack is a stand-alone unit, so the carriages are not the same as the ones from NTP, and the 52 is different to the other DLC version.
Its a seperate timetable add on based on the 1970s using 1970s based stock. Nothing saying about the route transforms to 1970. Do of course it will be on the modern route. Yes its weird but its meant to show that DTG can run seperate timetables on the same route with different stock. This is also happening to Rapid Transit a seperate updated timetable is being released for the route. Hentis
It makes perfect sense if you understand that rolling stock that predates TSW2, which introduced the Livery Designer, doesn't work with Livery Designer. This includes NTP and TVL.
But then I can use the class 377/4 from East Coast from TSW1 with a custom livery on most of the routes?
